    Welcome newcomers –
For all the newbies here tonight:
There is another website that the Tangans use to share questions and answers about the Tanga puzzles and to post more blatant hints than you will find on this blog.

This has a separate Ze puzzle discussion.
The first post for tonight's Ze puzzle starts at:

    http://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/1354541#1354541

Don’t forget to go check to see if there is a “next” page.

Also, if you are interested in the definition of some tangaisms you may encounter here (e.g. the use of the word “salt”) please check out the first post of
    https://secure.tanga.com/blogs/461-Ze-Frank-Puzzle-2-17-2007-Blog
    Enjoy!

    t'was an easy one.

  11. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Feb 22, 2007 07:09 PM

Looks like another lonely night for the BGG Ze Frank thread :-)

  12. Avatar_profileCherriesfhornredmuse on Feb 22, 2007 07:10 PM

It took me over 5 minutes because I had no freakin' clue what in the world the "1st of 5th" meant, and thought it referenced the descriptions. I R SMRT.

At least I was in the top...uh...30.

  13. Avatar_profileCherriesPsyberfox on Feb 22, 2007 07:10 PM

Can I get some salt please

  14. Avatar_profileApplesteved on Feb 22, 2007 07:11 PM

So I did this first by ignoring the first reference and got jumbled letters for "woman." It made sense but wrong answer. Got it though.

  15. Avatar_profileRadishbork on Feb 22, 2007 07:12 PM

[removed-left this in the wrong thread]

  16. Avatar_profileLemonDAC42 on Feb 22, 2007 07:16 PM

I am lost. is there some salt available?

  17. Avatar_profileCherriesfrenchfille on Feb 22, 2007 07:18 PM

Dont' you know how to dance correctly? It just take a little TLC.

  18. Avatar_profileCherrieskaninchen on Feb 22, 2007 07:18 PM

Definitely a necessity for proper dancing :)

  19. Avatar_profileCherriesbigmaggie on Feb 22, 2007 07:19 PM

Too easy, could we get more thinky puzzles and less scavenger hunts through ze frank's page?

  20. Avatar_profileCherriesJustoph3 on Feb 22, 2007 07:22 PM

    pretty standard tanga

  21. FileRocketBearcat89 on Feb 22, 2007 07:23 PM

Took me longer to find the proper location than to flip back and forth between here and there to solve the puzzle. No salt needed on this one folks.

  22. FilePumpkinJohn on Feb 22, 2007 07:27 PM

[19] I expected all the Ze Puzzles to be based on Ze's site.

  23. FileStrawberryDolly on Feb 22, 2007 07:28 PM

    help the newbie guys.

  24. Avatar_profileCherriesMissJecka on Feb 22, 2007 07:29 PM

You're not a real ZeFrank fan if you don't know where to look for this one.

  25. Avatar_profileCherriesPsyberfox on Feb 22, 2007 07:29 PM

You were the 90th Tanga member to solve this puzzle

Remember People, "necessity for proper dancing " Without this you would be at a loss.

    (19) is all the salt you should need

  26. FileApplegilby123 on Feb 22, 2007 07:29 PM

    * It took you 5 minutes and 7 seconds to solve this puzzle.
    * You were the 88th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
    * Average solve time: 4 minutes and 46 seconds.
    * Median solve time: 3 minutes and 10 seconds.
    * 68.750% of Tanga members that have attempted this puzzle have solved it.

Yeesh. Guess I shoulda "passed the trash" and did this first. I also got easily distracted...So VERY amusing. Mmm...witch's brew. :)

[19] I think these puzzles are supposed to be less thinky and more hunty.

  27. FileStrawberryDolly on Feb 22, 2007 07:30 PM

never heard of frank... till a few days ago.

  28. Avatar_profileCherriesLhyzz on Feb 22, 2007 07:31 PM

I knew immediately what it was referring to, but how do we find the word? o.O

  29. Avatar_profileLemonDAC42 on Feb 22, 2007 07:35 PM

I found where I was suppose to be on Ze's site and ended up with jiperish

  30. Avatar_profileCherriesndovu9 on Feb 22, 2007 07:40 PM

The "salt" so far in this thread has only succeeded in making me feel even more stupid.

  31. Avatar_profileLemonDAC42 on Feb 22, 2007 07:40 PM

    [30] I know the feeling

  32. FileGrapesearthangel127 on Feb 22, 2007 07:45 PM

    watch and learn

  33. Avatar_profileCherriesberecca on Feb 22, 2007 07:45 PM

You gotta pay attention to the instructor, guys.

  34. Avatar_profileCherriesjeverettk on Feb 22, 2007 07:51 PM

[29] I end up with jiperish all the time. I think they sell a cream for it.

  35. Avatar_profileCherriesndovu9 on Feb 22, 2007 07:54 PM

Edit: I finally got it. I still feel stupid, but not as stupid as I felt while reading this thread. Sometimes you have to watch instead of read.

  36. Avatar_profileCherriesjeverettk on Feb 22, 2007 08:08 PM

the puzzle tells you where to use it.

  37. Avatar_profileCherriesalyosha on Feb 22, 2007 08:10 PM

in which the feet remain planted and the hands remain clasped.

  38. Avatar_profileCherriesLhyzz on Feb 22, 2007 08:11 PM

yeah, i get that part, but still getting gibberish.

  39. Avatar_profilePotatoCremlae on Feb 22, 2007 08:13 PM

Watch out [35], if you add too much salt, it'll get ruined.

  40. Avatar_profileCherriesLhyzz on Feb 22, 2007 08:13 PM

oh wait, i was using it on the wrong part... duh.

  41. Avatar_profileLemonadena11 on Feb 22, 2007 08:14 PM

    my first one without salt!

  42. Avatar_profileCherriesmiffed on Feb 22, 2007 08:16 PM

[36] Actually the puzzle does not tell you exactly where to use it, and is in fact quite misleading in that regard.

[35] Keep trying and trust that there is actually a set of words on which it will work.

Sorry if that was too salty. I noticed that Tanga-folks seem to need help on the Ze-bits, while Ze-folks seem to need help on the Tanga-bits.

Trust me when I tell you that Ze-folks do not need any help finding the correct page to which this puzzle applies. They do need a little help figuring out how to apply the tanga-bit to that page.

  43. Avatar_profileCherriesDJTuffPuppy on Feb 22, 2007 08:23 PM

    can't stop watching him dance..........

  44. Avatar_profileCherriesjeverettk on Feb 22, 2007 08:25 PM

[42] I never said exactly. I just meant that there's more there to tell you where than one might notice at first, but then [37] twisted the top off the shaker.

PS: I use it everyplace I get the chance (especially the one 'in which...")

  45. Avatar_profileCherriescaleb12 on Feb 22, 2007 08:38 PM

Luckily i read the wiki article about Ze today, otherwise i wouldn't have got it.

  46. Avatar_profileCherriesS_Grimmer on Feb 22, 2007 08:39 PM

"How do you work this think? i've tried and tried and tried, but how do you work this thing"

EDIT: Oh duh I got it.

  47. Avatar_profileCherriesSchlaueKatze on Feb 22, 2007 09:23 PM

O.k. Ze!!! Give us something to move those neurons. How about something about the show. We're down to the last month - what are we ever going to do without you in the primaries.

  48. Avatar_profileCherriespunkgenius on Feb 22, 2007 09:42 PM

That puzzle is tight! Oh, wait...

Am I the only one who is REALLY ANNOYED when people post the stats on how quickly they solved the puzzle?

    Just wondering.

It took me blah blah minutes and blah blah seconds to solve this puzzle.
    ...

  49. Avatar_profileCherriesjeverettk on Feb 22, 2007 10:17 PM

    punk,
I've heard it said that the time it took to solve the puzzle can be a clue as well, i.e. if a lot of people get it really quickly, then the convoluted path your on might be worth deserting.

  50. Avatar_profileCherriesbyod on Feb 22, 2007 11:05 PM

this is as much salt as I'm going to give:
    http://www.zefrank.com

  51. Avatar_profileCherriesquizmastermike on Feb 22, 2007 11:12 PM

Finally, I don't feel like a complete moron amongst the Tanga chapter of MENSA! Does anybody else feel like throwing things when they can't find a starting point on some of these puzzles, or am I becoming a self-loathing Hard-Charger?

  56. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Feb 23, 2007 07:15 AM

I just looked at that particular feature on his sight a few days ago! Of course, the first time I tried to answer it I used the wrong method and got an anagram for Woman which I thought could be a possible answer - so I wasted some time there until I figured out what I was doing wrong.
