[Edit] Finally got it, but I don't think the puzzle is the actual line from the original source. In particular, the 2nd to last word in the puzzle is not the second to last word in the original.

I think [7] is right. The actual answer comes from the cover done by someone else a year later... the original had some smokin' bad English in it.
Edit... I liked it by the way. even with the oddity, it only took a few tries to get it right.

[1] was the salt i needed. and [7] is correct. it is not exactly from the original source, but from the more popular cover version.
