salt?
I think they flipped the easy and hard one-worders tonight...
what IS that???
ya
Standard tanga procedure.
"Standard tanga procedure", what's that: Come up with a crazy pun then guess till you get it right?
Very clever...
what is the first thing you think of while solving tanga puzzles when you see that number? It may help to verbalize your thoughts.
Ah...! Clever, indeed. But I'm not sure I would have gotten it (for a while, anyway) without the nudge here.
I get the tanga part, but I am still mystified about the picture.
Edit: OH! *groan* I had to change my pronunciation to get it, and then the picture made sense.
I think "black jack!", but that ain't it. And it ain't scandium. I'm lost
me too
Interesting, you also go down a similar path if you treat the numbers individually.
Well, it isn't "bayou" That uses the numbers individually AND together :-}
No idea on this one yet, but I'm still happy, since I hit STU with the other puzzles tonight.
I rammed my head against the wall a few times before I got this one.
Nice one, [13].
you got to be kidding
[14] I'm suffering with ya!
The background looks cumfy, in for 8th. Great puzzle.
[14] it's not basalt, either.
Got it, but I'm underwhelmed.
OMG! You have GOT to be kidding! VERY clever! and VERY tricky!
I think it's cool... I was stuck on thinking it was two letters represented on the picture... which was close. ;)
This one was the hardest for me tonight and I feel stupid for that. Still 11th...
21 + picture or picture + 21?
I'm still stumped. And I've already solved the other three puzzles... Any salt out there?
monocle, I'm gonna get you. Thanks to you ... arrgh. I'll find you. Then , once I've got you, you'll get it.
[5] still too new at this to know what standard procedure is, so any thing someone uninitiated could use?
seems like the hardest one tonight and not much salt yet. i think i have the background and the letters but can't put it all together
88th, still bonus points available.
[27] We use tanga numbers here(1=A, 2=B...). YOU should, too.
underwhelmed? this was dumb and a lot of work for 16 points.
I finally got it! And now I'll take that sheepish look off my face.
little salt on the background?
[24] You don't need the background AND the number, just the background OR the number.
[32]: [31] is about as good as it's gonna get!
Ok....I don't get it!! Any salt out there?!
Thanks [33].
[13] a side effect I had not even intended.
i don't get it yet.
Ugh, I think I know what it is, but it's not taking my answers. Must have something over my eyes
i know it has something to do with sheep........
[40] OK, I was wrong; [31] got you that far, but not far enough.
The best salt is really what theChony has to say in [29]. You really can't go wrong with the advise theChony has to offer, can You?
Definitely underwhelmed.
The background is really only helpful to set a theme. You don't need it to solve though.
Bleah
not a fan...sorry.
I thought it was cute.
doh!
thanks [31]
ha! Very nice!
Wow, I hate when I think too much. Made it a lot more difficult than it really is. It is clever, though.
Is it just me or does that look looks like a magic swirl of smoke and not the stinky poo covered thing that it really is?
[48] A thunderstorm, thunder, lightning, cloud, smoke. Definitely not what it's apparently supposed to represent. Even knowing the answer I still don't see it.
Man, I thought the crap in the background was cotton. I had to come back after sleeping on it to think of the other fluffy fabric constituent it could be.
Ugh. Thanks for the salt.
[29][31][33] Thanks, finally figured out what you meant. Got it after a good nites sleep and your help.
[48][49][50] I guess you'll just have to trust me that it is a close-up of the subject at hand.
GROAN..... that was BAAAAD!!!
can't pull wool over my eyes!
U have got to be kidding me. Get answer...take 5 minutes to figure out which version needed. *groan*
Argh! Argh! Argh! Much pain! It hurts us Preciouss, it burns!
i give up... i got what the clue was... but the answer is too elusive for me today
16+ hours and I still got nothin'
My taking the letters individually led me down under, interestingly. Wrongly, but interestingly.
I have solved half of these puzzles with the words stupid, senseless, and #$%#$@@!
Ok, givin that the number is simply a set of tanga numbers it's easy to get the clue... as many have said, sheep, wool etc... but that's extremely generic. Even if I narrow it down to the famous children's rhymes about wool which word would I use?!?
[62] I wouldn't count on it being a "set" of tanga numbers.
I'm not sure where people are thinking that there is a set of anything in there. I think there would be a bit more space between them if it were meant to be "2" and "1". It is a "21"... plain and simple.
[64]The puzzlemakers salt finally did it for me.
You solved this puzzle in 22 hours, 15 minutes and 59 seconds and were the 376th Tanga member to solve it.
bah, still stuck
[66] Read [56] post and [64] post a couple more times...YOU'll get there.
Dammit - what is this?
Oww! Finally got it after 4 days, 18 hours, and 41 minutes. Must be dense!
You're dense! What does that make me?
You solved this puzzle in 1338 days, 22 hours, and 49 minutes and were the 507th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 3 points for solving this.
