Bleh, what had me hung up was the last line, you can actually put them together to make the word "dozen". Thanks to [13] for the help.

I thought it was spot on. Too bad for me that I always thought that phrase said something slightly different. I had to google the proper wording... which cost me a portion of my "minute twenty-three" solve time.

I still am not sure what the aliens are supposed to be, but I was able to solve the puzzle with the rest of the pictures.

A little bit of salt here. The American Civil War would be a good place to look when you are trying to figure out the alien picture.
