Labeled "hard" for the work, not the difficulty.

  2. Hermit_crab-206Garlichwango on Aug 07, 2008 07:08 PM

    [1] - What?

  3. Bunny91Garlicheatherlouwho on Aug 07, 2008 07:10 PM

Can I be the first to say "WHAT????"

  4. FileOnionTwench on Aug 07, 2008 07:11 PM

    [3] Apparently not.

  5. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Aug 07, 2008 07:11 PM

Not hard, once you figure out what to do.

  6. Current.deal.avOnionmonocle on Aug 07, 2008 07:12 PM

[1] I'll read that as not hard but tedious. :(

  7. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Aug 07, 2008 07:13 PM

[6] No, not tedious...fun, but not obvious
    what to do.

  8. FilePancakesScrappyChiq_n_Husband on Aug 07, 2008 07:14 PM

    [7] how's about a hint?

  9. FileDuckieescKey on Aug 07, 2008 07:15 PM

Great artwork, but I don't get it.

  10. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Aug 07, 2008 07:15 PM

Look at everything. Several things are identical on the map.

  11. FilePepperslog on Aug 07, 2008 07:16 PM

I got it with a guess. Good thing too - my printer is out of ink.

  12. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Aug 07, 2008 07:16 PM

In fact, the key to this puzzle is all about those things.

  13. FileDuckieescKey on Aug 07, 2008 07:18 PM

    fetry?

  14. FilePancakesScrappyChiq_n_Husband on Aug 07, 2008 07:20 PM

    [10], thanks, that's what I needed

  15. Hermit_crab-206Garlichwango on Aug 07, 2008 07:32 PM

[11] - I ended up using Photoshop, but yeah, that or a printer.

  16. 19284Duckiemikalye on Aug 07, 2008 07:43 PM

Sigh, missed the rotation. I saw the basic premise right away, but missed a key detail. Oh well....

  17. OsmiumSailboatosmium on Aug 07, 2008 08:01 PM

Wee that was fun!! Cool concept!

  18. FileGarlicsorter on Aug 07, 2008 08:27 PM

Amazing - solve by random guessing.

  19. ShoeAppleslightlyslapdash on Aug 07, 2008 08:38 PM

    Interesting puzzle.

  20. FilePepperdajagr on Aug 07, 2008 11:00 PM

Interesting, yes, but I had some serious problems with alignment that ultimately reduced me to guessing with about half the letters in place.

  21. Avatar_profilePotatocanyc on Aug 08, 2008 01:48 AM

    Fun puzzle

  22. TangaPlumSonOfYoda on Aug 08, 2008 05:15 AM

    Beautifully done.

  23. Avatar_profileBananatrevelyan on Aug 08, 2008 07:32 AM

[10] the lil islands that look like boots are identicle, so? Still makes no sence.

  24. FileSailboatRunAmuck on Aug 08, 2008 08:30 AM

    [23] thanks - very salty

  25. Avatar_profilePearSpielfreak on Aug 08, 2008 09:38 AM

Could someone give a hint about the concept? I see the five islands, one with an "x", but I do not see how these point to any meaningful letters.

  26. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Aug 08, 2008 09:41 AM

[25] Look at the shape of the islands. Do you see anything else that looks the same? [16] gives you an important step.

  27. Avatar_profilePearSpielfreak on Aug 08, 2008 11:19 AM

[26] Thanks. I knew all those things, but didn't know what to make of them until I realized I could use a translucent napkin to solve this puzzle.
