I think the 27-letter word (clued at in the CVCV... line) should have been the answer.

[10], perhaps, but I see comment 6 as being just short of simply posting the answer. We tune in here for the enjoyment of trying to solve; 'salt' should be hints to aid in solving, not commentary on the answer itself (re: the guidance right underneath the post entry field). IMO

[11] Yeah - that's weird. My puzzle was the 'other' hard puzzle for this night - I only got 58 completions on it, and I think that's because less that half of the Tanganites saw it.
