Are we supposed to be able to figure out what that pixellated icon is for? Never used Firefox, and can't find a likely image on google...

[2] I don't believe that is a Firefox specific icon, rather it is related to the web page. (There's a name for those little thingies, darned if I can remember what they are called.)

[2] The bottom half of the puzzle is all you really need. The top half is just there for context.

Is there any salt out there? The only Earl I can think of is from "My Name is Earl", and he has a list of things he has to do.
Edit: P&S. As for salt, I'm not too good at it, but the puzzle is not self contained; it is on the internet as you can see.

[6] Regarding the hint: Think of an Internet-related usage for the word that sounds like Earl.
BTW, I love that show. Every role is perfectly cast. Randy is very funny. Joy is very funny. Crabman is ... well, you get the idea.
