[7][8] Me, too. I wouldn't have gotten the answer without [7], probably. There was a whole school of herrings in this one, enough that they sort of obscured the puzzle.
[8] I should note that the fact that this was classified as a hard is of course no fault at all of the puzzle creator, and is the responsibility of Tanga management. If it had been published as Easy, I wouldn't have looked for a complicated, multi-step answer, and just tried to find the obvious. Just sayin'. Overall a fine puzzle.
100th! Yeah! 1 extra point! Woo Hoo! Should have been quicker, but there's this odd thing happening to the moon right now that drew my attention. I think it has something to do with aliens. Not sure though; I could be wrong.
[21] Hm. I respectfully disagree. Although I understand the solution mechanism of the puzzle, I noticed it early on and dismissed it as cleverness or artistry rather than the solution, because there was nothing obvious pointing that out as the solution. Ideally, when you get the solution, it should be clear that you've got it and not just something that's part of the theme. (I did try a couple of more exact terms for the answer as per the mechanism, when I got desperate, but they failed to go through.) Which isn't to say that the puzzle was particularly bad, necessarily, but that...well, too many red herrings can go beyond mere distraction into actively preventing you from being able to see the answer.
You are a freaking genius!!, you solved this puzzle.
You solved this puzzle in 14 minutes and 25 seconds and were the 116th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 10 points for solving this.
still not seeing how the answer fits :o(
the answer popped into my head, just don't know why
(24), for once in Syracuse we had a clear night to see the eclipse. Fortunately I don't Tanga until the morning. It was SO beautiful with Saturn and Regulus forming a triangle with the amber moon.
[25] and [27] I might agree--IF we hadn't been clearly warned by the puzzle's artful, clever title to beware of "extraneous stuff." Perhaps I just enjoy fishing, but I liked this one!
Success! You solved this puzzle in 4 minutes and 41 seconds and were the 200th Tanga member to solve it. Took me a little bit... did run down a couple red herrings in the process, it was a tough climb, but a lucky guess for me did it!

Don't know how many dead ends there are to this puzzle, but glad I only had to climb one of them.

Nothing directs you to the answer. You kind of have to stumble onto it. Not a clue, just an observation. Ignore almost everything you see.

[7] Agreed. Sorry, I don't enjoy running around in circles for no good reason. I would've solved this faster if it were listed as an Easy OWW.

Got it from the salt, no idea at all how to get to the solution from the puzzle. (Though I did find the obvious red herring.)

I'm with [25]. I'm really not sure if there was an actual path to the answer; I just sort of free-associated from an observation, which isn't a path.

Crazy puzzle!
Once you see the info you need, it becomes incredibly easy. If you look at other things...well, you're sunk.

For those who get the solution via salt or wild guessing... the information *is* there... you're just looking too hard in the wrong places.
