I humbly disagree with the solution; the first clue isn't easy, and I got it via the stretchy 3rd clue. Sports knowledge is one thing, but town names without even a state to work off of?
Just type in some of what you know and see what you get. I'll also add that the town name is found in multiple states, so that certainly doesn't help much. It at least narrows it down some.
[14] Your sarcasm is unnecessary. I'm not saying the puzzle was unfairly hard, but I was not the only one who found the 1st clue not as easy as you state, as [6], [10], and [12] show. By the way, Googling "Linda town" turns up the correct city low on the second page, after one in the wrong state on page 1.
Thank you, [16]. I'll add it to my list of Tanga resource sites.
[17] If we lose containment on the sarcasm/anti-sarcasm generator, it could rip a hole in the time/space continuum.
Did anybody find any more than two cities with 'Linda' in the name? I can understand the frustration if you had "___ Bay, __" or "St ____, __" or something like that, but I still contend that this isn't *that* difficult.
Is it tougher than I said in the solution text? Yeah ... I'll agree after seeing the comments. My bad.
[18] not a bad puzzle IMO. There are 4 states though with the same city name. I was able to get the answer on a guess even having the wrong state for the city after having the last 2 words, so it is very doable once you get on track
It took a little work, but definitely had a moment where it all clicked. I was impressed at the use of basically a single web page to get the whole answer.
And (regarding the answer), actually, nowadays, I don't even know if that saying is helpful anymore! It's all kind of in the dumps...
If you go to a particular weather site, and just enter Linda in the city name field, it will come up with a few alternatives. One of them is the only one that fits the clue.
You solved this puzzle in 1 minute and 3 seconds and were the 325th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 10 points for solving this
I didn't see the first one until I solved and thought there should be three...oh

[6] I didn't think of the potential 'accept' confusion until you said it. Good catch ... sorry I missed it.
[11] yeah ... googling 'linda city' or 'linda town' gives you absolutely nothing ...

For the city the weather is in a certain time zone. That should narrow the choices.

This really isn't all that much of a stretch, I got it by figuring out the 1st and the 2nd, the rest just fell into place. And I agree [20]
