huh.
Nice puzzle.
Wow, easy one tonight.
Still working on the solve method, but I guessed it...
Guessed it too.
35th. Lovely.
Wow, I've got a wrong solve method set up.
Does c count? Anyone? Or am I very much on the wrong track?
Another VERY clever puzzle!
Any salt on the theme?
I have no idea how I did that.
[7] No, don't use C.
[7] Only low seem to count.
Complete guess. I'll contemplate working on the solve method later.
salt?
I'm definitly missing a step, but I want to make sure I'v got everything possible before I give up tonight.
There's gotta be a step after this one...
EDIT: Yo soy un idioto. Got it three seconds after posting and realizing I missed a set. Great puzzle cyncat!
You solved this puzzle in 10 minutes and 52 seconds and were the 78th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 33 points for solving this.
Wow cyncat, that must have been tough figuring out words that would fit in this puzzle. Good job!
[15] you're at least one step ahead of some of us
Complete guess (but on the first try :)). Use the background.
Ah, got it. Was roamin' around trying to figure it out for a while...
Ahhh...got it. Very clever.
[17]: Check my post at [7] and cyncat's at [11] for the best salt on here right now. If it doesn't ring a bell at all, excellent salt should be around later.
92nd! Yay! Very nice, and cleverly done! I went down a major rabbit hole, or I'd have made mid-fifties, methinks.
Noel. It's just too big.
Edit: Obviously, I have no idea what I'm doing.
This one needs a picture of Caesar
Just to repeat BigSlick:
WOW! I can't imagine how hard it was to find clues that worked for this one!
[24] 5 letters ins't enough. You should get one per line.
Grr. If the baby had stayed down, I would have broken 100. Oh well. Fun puzzle.
Well, thanks to some last-minute salt from BigSlick, I got it.
VERY CLEVER puzzle, cyncat! I am bonking my head on the desk right now! LOL!
Veni, vidi, tangici!
[27] LOL
Is there any additional salt out there. I'm not getting this.
An hour later, I just realized why the answer is the answer. Veni, vidi, tangici, indeed!
[30] You need tanga numbers. One per word.
Another one I guessed at lol but just looking at the letters in each word. Still not sure where to get the tanga numbers from.
[33] See [7] [11] [25].
[34]That leaves me with one of the numbers being 50. That doesn't seem to help me! I must need a glass of wine.
NM! Thwack! That's me hitting my head.
[35] See also [23]. Remember, all the words are less than 12 letters long.
got it thanks to [18]. and although i see the letters in the words, I still don't have a clue as to how you solve it..
[37] Convert them all, and put them inside the parentheses at the end of the word that contains them. Then look at the puzzle again.
I also guessed the word. Then went back and figured out why the answer is what it is.
Pretty cool.
I guessed, couldn't backsolve until I got all the salt. Now I see it but can't imagine how anyone would actually solve this.
Well,
it's not
JSOYTRYOGL or MIXPXPAQSJNJ
too bad - I guess I'll read through the comments now...
Great one as usual, cyncat.
Sorry, I didn't like this one (as if anyone cares about what I think! :) Too arbitrary that you have to know to ignore C and D. (Although to be perfectly honest, even if you had been able to leave C and D out of it, I don't think I ever would have come up with the solve method on my own anyway...)
Good job, cyncat. ..
Wow. Guessed it and then finally figured out the solve method. Cute.
I got the first step. But then I don't know where to go from there.
[46] Get one letter from each word. The number inside the parentheses will tell you which one.
I'm with [43] I wouldn't have found that solve method without salt. But a clever puzzle
[47] Thank you!
Fianlly got it thanks to [47]. Neat puzzle with a clever solve method. My only gripe is that the background image made it too easy for the guessers.
[50] Yup, I've got to learn how to use background with finesse. :) Thanks.
[43] LOL. Of course we care about what you think!
[19] [23] Thanks. You know I love puns.
Thanks to everyone who gave compliments!
How do I get the numbers? I see some fuzzy stuff in the background but can't make much out.
Okay, I guessed the answer thanks to using enough salt to keep the roads here snow free for the rest of the decade. Could someone please TG me what I was supposed to do to get the answer?
Need to leave out the L also.
[55] The numbers are embedded in the words.
Some more salt: For the first word, don't use D because the word DIVA is less than 504 letters long.
[58] OOHH thanks I get it.
I must be dense - what's 504 got to do with it?
[60] D=500 in some representation. Taught in grade school math, but adults still use it. Especially if they want to read the last line of movie credits.
Using M is a no no as well.
Thanks cyncat, Now i understand!
Too guessable. :(
