Not bad ... didn't get the "go" clues, but figured it out without them.

  2. FileSailboatzyzzva on Wed Mar 05, 2008 07:11 PM

  5. PonyguncropBananaPony on Wed Mar 05, 2008 07:27 PM

    37th! :)

  6. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Wed Mar 05, 2008 07:37 PM

[2]Just the numbers and do the usual, you don't need to apply them to the words.

  7. FileAceToxidyne on Wed Mar 05, 2008 07:41 PM

[4] D'oh. Just didn't see it until your salt.

  8. FilePeachSquirlwfleas on Wed Mar 05, 2008 07:50 PM

I'm stuck. The comments so far haven't helped...Any more salts?

  9. FileSailboatsteve59 on Wed Mar 05, 2008 07:45 PM

[1] yeah, still not sure how you'd get the letters from them, but it shouldn't be hard to get it without.

Edit: n/m. I get it now. kinda breaks from the pattern of the other clues, though.

  10. FilePeachSquirlwfleas on Wed Mar 05, 2008 07:50 PM

Ok, solved the puzzle, but was confused by the salt from the 4th comment...What does board games have to do with the answer?

  11. FileSailboatzyzzva on Wed Mar 05, 2008 07:52 PM

argh...theres also a five score and seven years ago....
made me go from top 20s to top 160s.

[10] this is a good link to use if you dont have all the letters but most of them: http://www.crosswordsolver.org/. you dont need to know the go across/down ones to solve this puzzle.

  13. Avatar_profileStrawberryWontGrowUp on Wed Mar 05, 2008 08:08 PM

    Yzerman?

  14. FilePotatorevchewie on Wed Mar 05, 2008 08:21 PM

[13] Wiki it. That's how I found what it was.

Wow! Waaaay obscure. Unless you're from Detroit, I guess.

  15. FileSailboatkevinruns262 on Wed Mar 05, 2008 08:25 PM

[13] Steve Yzerman. He played for the Detroit Red Wings. They're looking for his number when he played.

  16. Avatar_profileStrawberrygriton on Wed Mar 05, 2008 08:49 PM

I don't get the "Go across/Go down" either. Got the puzzle without them though. Anyone want to TG me on how you're supposed to get the letters for those two?

  17. Picture-303Pumpkingodard on Wed Mar 05, 2008 08:56 PM

[16] The board game isn't Monopoly

  18. FilePancakesCWarrior on Wed Mar 05, 2008 09:12 PM

Don't want to give too much away, but http://www.tanga.com/forum/blogs/1457-Number_terms.

  19. FilePancakesCWarrior on Wed Mar 05, 2008 09:08 PM

[15] Stevie Y obscure? Say it isn't so!

One of the problems with this method is getting that particular number. There just aren't that many choices out there for it, but its needed multiple times in this puzzle.

  20. FilePepperpepperhead on Thu Mar 06, 2008 05:03 AM

good puzzle, but anything with Steve Yzerman has got to be good

  21. FilePearfinke67 on Thu Mar 06, 2008 05:33 AM

I'm new... what does "salt" mean on this site. thanks

  22. FilePearfinke67 on Thu Mar 06, 2008 05:39 AM

[19] Unitas or Hole aka clubhouse

  23. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Thu Mar 06, 2008 05:43 AM

[21] Salt means "hint" or "clue"

  24. FilePearfinke67 on Thu Mar 06, 2008 05:53 AM

[23] thanks. i figured that is what it meant, but I have never heard it before.

  25. Bunny91Garlicheatherlouwho on Thu Mar 06, 2008 06:48 AM

This was fun! Only a couple of googles needed. Good job dfmurphy!

  26. DgbGrapesBusterBluth on Thu Mar 06, 2008 08:18 AM

no clue how to get the letter that appears thrice, but figured it out with others

  27. FileAppleenfuzz on Thu Mar 06, 2008 08:42 AM

    Thanks [12]

  28. FileAppleragulo on Thu Mar 06, 2008 11:10 AM

DOH! I googled the stations of the cross and read the wrong number!

  29. FilePeppercyncat on Thu Mar 06, 2008 02:14 PM

    [28] LOL

  30. FilePearmeruru on Thu Mar 06, 2008 02:52 PM

Not sure if this is too salty or not, but for the "go across" and "go down" instead of finding a number, I think its just a command to be applied to that row or list.

[31] 19 is total BS inside Tanga CRAP. Stop the BS and catering to insiders and your base might expand.
