    what else could it be?

  5. Avatar_profileEggplantCrockerdile on Mar 23, 2008 07:03 PM

Well I know I'm right. It just won't take the answer

  6. MickeyKiwisholmste on Mar 23, 2008 07:03 PM

[2], [4] Make sure to read the clue 'completely'.

  7. FileEggplantcllumley on Mar 23, 2008 07:04 PM

I know it but it won't work...

  8. FilePeachSquirlwfleas on Mar 23, 2008 07:04 PM

Be sure you answer the question...not type in what you are seeing!

Thanks [8]. I thought it wanted it all.

  12. T-shirt_backBananaRANN96 on Mar 23, 2008 07:06 PM

The instructions are an important step

  13. FileEggplantcllumley on Mar 23, 2008 07:06 PM

    this is stupid....

  14. AvatarSailboatjjcool on Mar 23, 2008 07:06 PM

[8] but isnt that what a "cryptopix" is supposed to be? interpret the pictures into a phrase.

  15. FileGrapesBig on Mar 23, 2008 07:10 PM

jack o gym raids ellipses complete the phrase?

    Sorry, no clue.

Should have started w/ the hypercross.

  16. FileCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Mar 23, 2008 07:11 PM

[14] I agree. the answer should have been the first half, or the whole thing, not just the second half. This qualifies more as a "3 word wonder" puzzle.

  17. FilePeachSkittlebrau on Mar 23, 2008 07:17 PM

I agree this is not a proper cryptopix...rt6

  18. Avatar_profileRadishRastus on Mar 23, 2008 07:23 PM

    Not getting the first part.

  19. ImagesCarrotPlayer on Mar 23, 2008 07:24 PM

[18] I'm not getting any of it...

  20. BozoApplebruhow on Mar 23, 2008 07:30 PM

Its safe to think about what the gymnast is doing.

  21. FileApplewmshub on Mar 23, 2008 07:31 PM

I know the sentence. The whole phrase.

But it won't let me enter. :-(

  22. FileCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Mar 23, 2008 07:34 PM

As is often the case, saying what you see out loud, rather than in your mind helps a lot.

  23. FileApplewmshub on Mar 23, 2008 07:48 PM

I *know* I have it right. The first half of the famous phrase sounds exactly like the words in the image. But it won't accept it.

I hope this isn't a stupid punctuation issue.

  24. Avatar_profileGrapesjshurt on Mar 23, 2008 07:59 PM

Read the instructions. It's not asking you to answer what the pictures say. It's asking to "complete" the phrase. It's a common phrase.

  25. FilePumpkinDisreputable on Mar 23, 2008 08:30 PM

the term created by the pics is common enough, the phrase ... not so much.

  26. FileApplewmshub on Mar 23, 2008 08:51 PM

[24] Thanks. But dangit, to me "complete" means "add the rest", not "what is the rest"!

  27. FilePearmidga59 on Mar 23, 2008 10:02 PM

that was dumb. better cryptopix please.

  28. Avatar_profilePeachianwaldecker on Mar 24, 2008 05:05 AM

Use google! That's the only way I would have gotten it. Yes, I have heard the phrase before but it wouldn't come to me.

  29. FileEggplantcllumley on Mar 24, 2008 05:18 AM

Do not use a conjunction word. i.e. and or BUT nor any of those. That is what got me.... number 16 was a help. I agree it should be called "a three word wonder."

  30. FileWatermelonrkalajian on Mar 24, 2008 05:34 AM

Took me a minute, but finally understood :)

  31. Avatar_profileGrapesthv2 on Mar 24, 2008 06:18 AM

    uggh!
That puzzle had potential, but not the way it was phrased.

  32. Avatar_profilePeargothmom on Mar 24, 2008 07:47 AM

I really am getting frikkin tired of knowing the answer but because I'm not typing the punctuation or capitalization or the spelling is correct and the puzzlemaker doesn't know how to spell I am not getting it "right".

Tanga has gone to Hell in a Handbasket!

  33. FileGrapesMajiken on Mar 25, 2008 10:32 AM

Know it, but can't get it to take. I give up.

LATER - Aha, not the entire phrase. That was what was stumping me.

  34. FileAppleskitty on Mar 24, 2008 08:18 AM

I liked the puzzle. I thought it was a neat twist on the usual Cryptopix, and I had no trouble following the instructions.

  35. FileSailboatdagibbs on Mar 24, 2008 08:36 AM

I had no real problem either... ok, I typed way too many words the first time, but after shortening it appropriately, got the answer. No spelling or punctuation issues.

  36. FileAppleannberg on Mar 24, 2008 09:46 AM

    Need salt on the gymnast....

    NM...it finally clicked

  37. Dave5Grapessaintomer on Mar 24, 2008 09:53 AM

    53 seconds. I liked it.

  38. Dave5Grapessaintomer on Mar 24, 2008 09:53 AM

    53 seconds. I liked it.

  39. Avatar_profilePearIcarus on Mar 24, 2008 11:27 AM

Why not just cryptopix the whole thing? Boo.

  40. FilePancakeshatemachine on Mar 24, 2008 12:43 PM

[32] Yeah, and after solving a whopping 5 puzzles you certainly are qualified to say that....

  41. FilePlumdougtaylor1 on Mar 24, 2008 12:45 PM

Took me a while. All the salt you need in [29]

  42. AvatarCarrotrobrizob on Mar 24, 2008 02:05 PM

I agree with those who've said that the answer should've been the entire phrase, not just the last half. My bad.

As always, to those who found the puzzle deplorable, why not give it a go yourself?

  43. Superstar.phpWatermelonRipRap on Mar 24, 2008 03:29 PM

    Jacko Gymnast Raids.....

never heard any phrase starting like that........

  44. FileRocketsteelersluver on Mar 24, 2008 05:28 PM

[43] What is the gymnast doing?

  45. Avatar_profileStrawberryhowewass on Mar 24, 2008 07:13 PM

The gymnast is not on the beam

  46. Decagram2Peacheksortso on Mar 26, 2008 05:03 AM

I gave up on this one. When I check the solution, I realized that I got the first half right, and I got the second half right, but when I put the two together, I still didn't get an answer!

I even took [16] and [29] into account, and I still couldn't get the answer, no matter how I tried to join the two.

    [42], please email me!

  47. Nun_on_pcGrapeshunibuns on May 16, 2008 02:01 PM

i never knew there WAS a second part, never heard of the answer part......only the first part......Thank God for Google!!!

  48. FileSailboatrashawnsgrandma on Jul 18, 2010 12:00 PM

I am # 759th & I liked it robrizob! Out of the box thinking and breaking a few rules is what made America and what keeps America & Americans great! THANX :)
