Weird. The spelling looks off on the 4th box on the second line. :^)

(Not salt.)

it does look off, but it is correct...that is the snack I eat while I tanga and I looked lol

what? no Mr T cereal...Tintin you should be ashamed of yourself

[2] Yeah, I was just making a lame joke about mispelling it a couple of nights ago on the Hypercross.

[3] I pity the fool who wrote this puzzle.

good one!! took me a minute to get the pattern, but that's ok... it started to click.

Nice and straight-forward. Now off to try to figure out the "easy" again.

I think my cereal needs some more salt...

Nice.

It's all about product placement.

[10], thx.
that did it.

Wow. That was tricky! [10] helped.

I knew my ovaltine decoder ring would come in handy someday

Argghh!! "Trial and error" as part of the solve method?!? That's no solution. It's a guess-lution.

yuck

Sweet puzzle.

Heh, it didn't seem like trial and error to me, it just made sense.

argh. nothing is making any sense. There's too many numbers and I don't know which ones to use!

[14] I figured out the solve method by looking at it; it was the first thing I tried and it seemed to fit well. Eight letters later, I had the answer.

how bout a starting point TG anyone?

[14] consider that you have letters and directions for their use.

tanga nums dont work.. [21]

[22] You don't need them.

hmmmm..... does product have a double meaning?-- maybe some salt there

[21] my letters and direction doesn't make any words at least english :)

[25] There's an awful lot of cereal, so maybe there ought to be a way to group it...

[19] and [21] He was merely repeating what the puzzle author said in his own puzzle solution.

[27] My bad, I actually meant it for [20].

Just became clear thanks for the salt and TG.

umm..... i spent too much time on this puzzle. Thanks [26] for helping though

Out of fairness to the puzzle, there's no real need for trial and error, just observation about the numbers.

Sorry to those who found this one frustrating.

Just to clarify for those who have not solved the puzzle and would like to, there is an intended solution not dependent on guesswork which has been salted (most directly in [31]).

[31] What about the numbers?

[33] TG sent.

Having solved the puzzle, I feel that [23] telling [22] you don't need tanga numbers is pretty misleading, bordering on incorrect.

Also, I agree that you don't have to do this by trial and error, and that re-listing the numbers can give you a much easier way to look at them.

Great puzzle TinTin!

[35] I should probably have been more specific that it does not require the alphabet grid, which is what I always think of when mentioning "Tanga Numbers".

Very tasty puzzle. Even though I have oatmeal every morning. :)

I think trial and error is definitely misplaced. There is quite definitely a pattern in the numbers.

I'm still not seeing the pattern. I can group the items into eight groups, but can't figure out where to go from there. TG anyone?

Edit: Got it. Thanks Tintin. I was stuck on the eight groups and spelling all kinds of words in some language other than English.
