[2] I didn't understand the Paula Abdul reference until after I had solved the puzzle! So, although it provides a nice hint, it really isn't essential.

However, it wouldn't hurt to browse a list of her hit singles.

The album title is a hint, I' say it's worth looking up.
[5] I'm not claiming these are the one and only or even most commonly used, but they fit the numbers given.
