It took you 4 minutes and 1 second to solve this puzzle.
You were the 1st Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
A nice change, we were in a slump for a while.
Don't believe the answer!

Yay, salt-free for a change.

Hey, top ten.
Nice puzzle. And a pleasantly no-sodium solve. :D
The final part works differently from the rest of the puzzle which slowed me down.
Got it with a 4th quarter guess, but aren't there some parts missing?
Agree, [5], there are some pieces not there, but still able to guess....
I should come earlier if I'm gonna be solving them so fast!
[5] I think so too...
Edit: Ah, I see, thanks [9].
28th. Nice puzzle, once I got far enough from the trees to see the forest.
Seems like we have a lot more solvers than bloggers lately.
None missing, but two are mixed colors. Which was kind of sneaky and I only figured it out in the backsolving.
Salt-free for me so this must be a pretty easy one. The orange and green threw me off a bit until I realized that some multitasking was involved. A clever twist.
#8, I confess I am one of those solvers who rarely blog. I still maintain a perfect score (have gotten my Tanga points for all puzzles to date) so I should blog more often just to repay others for the salt I often need.
Ugh. I got the sayings and then I've been going down a bunch of dead ends. It looked so simple when I started...
EDIT: While looking for salt, I saw something on BGG (stuff I already had) in a way that suddenly made sense. Now I just need to back solve on some of the xtras.
EDIT: Just finished backsolving on a couple of items. Very neat puzzle.
Hey, just got back from my 8th wedding anniversary dinner.
I hope you like this puzzle. The idea for this came to me when I was solving raymulford's Wednesday March 14, 2007 puzzle. It's sort of the reverse of that puzzle.
[9], [10] I was hoping someone was going to pick up on that and not just guess based on what they had, thinking it was a broken puzzle. I learned the rules of that "sneaky" and "clever twist" back when I was using finger paints and certainly much later in art class.
I loved this one! It was very cute and enjoyable. The two colored splashes that are unused (or at least I did not use them) did not throw me off but for a second. I do love it when a red herring isn't too much. Nice job!
^ Ha! I must have missed something with them then. I look forward to finding out what it is. But I have patience. I hear that's a good thing.
[14] Glad you liked it. Every color is used however, you can certainly solve it without those colors, it'll just take a little guessing.
Wow that was awesome. I totally didn't see the extra colors. Thanks Bearcat89. [10]
Very excellent puzzle. The 3/14 salt did it for me. I also, could not see the forest for the trees. The orange and green would have been better split up though imo.
Ahh, I wondered about the colors - cute how you mixed them!
Saltless and fun! Just under average.
I stalled because I skipped over the mixed colors. Thank you discussion board for pointing that out!
I don't like it. I fail to see why I was supposed to figure out that the orange and green letters were used how they were. I see WHERE they were used, but I don't see WHY they were there.
So to me it feels like a skipped step.

Orange is a color made of two other colors....
as is green....
I really enjoyed tonight's puzzle; it's pretty straightforward, but still has a few "aha"'s to keep one thinking. Nice work, fachanlahd!
And, many more congratulations on eight years of marriage!
I got the first part of the puzzle, but couldn't finish it salt-free because of the $!@#~*$ colors.
Would you like me to stop using the salty language? Then stop making every third *^^$$# puzzle dependent on being able to tell the difference between red, green, orange, and brown!!!
Thank you for allowing me to rant.
[23] I take it rgamble522 from your ranting that you must be colorblind. Sorry about that.
In my defense I had the puzzle test solved by a co-worker who is also colorblind and he said he could tell the different shades apart and didn't have too much trouble solving the puzzle.
[22] Thanks for the comments and thanks for the well-wishes on my marriage.
Nice puzzle.
This one started out as a fun puzzle, but I'm not sure how the colors lined up for the last few words of the clue. Someone above mentioned orange and green which I don't see in the puzzle (and no, I'm not colorblind).
I really liked the concept here and I was able to figure out the answer without salt after getting the first three words of the clue. Obviously a lot of thinking went into developing this one. Just a bit disappointed that the last few words didn't come together as I expected (although it could be me ... maybe I messed up somewhere). Still, a mostly fun puzzle to solve.
[26] The orange and green colors represent letters that are used twice (in two separate words) hence the blending of two colors to make a third.
What does salt mean? I am fairly new and struggle with the puzzles and i see you all using salt and no salt...what does it mean?
Whoo Hoo! Salt-free!
I almost gave in at the end. I had all letters but the 3rd word didn't make sense. I was tempted but then I thought maybe I should double check my colors and sure enough, I had written one letter down wrong and it all fell into place after that.
A clever puzzle!
[28] Salt is a euphemism for hints. There's a history to why that word means that and someone will post a link (I don't know it off-hand)
[28] [29] The answer to one of the earliest puzzles was SALT. Someone accidentally typed it into the blog where it sat there for quite awhile before being removed.

I got all the letters last night but couldn't figure out how to solve it. Finally got it at 4 a.m. after feeding my newborn. I knew those late night feeds had a positive side to them.
I must be dense, because I still can't figure it out. I realize that the first letter of each word is missing. I guessed that each letter would then correspond to the color marks to the right of each line. This gave me the following:
hbiwthb
ymybnlii
tbontb
ofitg
ottomt
fbtsoyp
edhid
ltcootb
Here's where I'm stuck. There are seven colors used at the bottom, but most of the colors correspond to multiple letters, which makes a nonsense word.
lloodhingomohoho
I also don't see how orange (s) and green (e) are used.
OK, that was actually quite nice--except for the mixed colors, which I found wholly unintuitive. Other than that, a nice puzzle.
[33] Go on over to BGG. It's easier to leave salt though without spoiling it for those who don't want any help.
[31] Thanks leadfoot. I knew you'd come through! ;)
Now that I've looked at the solution, I have a question:
Isn't it "Good things come to those who wait" and "All good things must come to an end"?
I think these two sayings were kind of mashed together in the final clue. I figured it out, but found it a bit confusing at the time.
I agree with comments 34 and 36 on this puzzle.
lol, not bad. What color do you get when you mix peach and slate or yellow and light blue? I think the color mixing could have been left out.
Isn't black a mixture of all the colors?: That would have made for a tough puzzle.
