what do the upside down e's mean?
Though they are presented the same, the first schwa is part of the word while the second schwa is its own word.

The way it was explained in my phonetics class, schwa is the vowel sound in the middle syllable of Canada.

stupid punctuation

I know this but it's not taking it, even with punctuation.
NM, I tried something else but it's actually not correct.
It took, though.
Took me one minute to figure it, and three and a half to get to punctuation right. Jeesh.

The one that makes me grit my teeth are the folks that spell "lose" "loose"...GAAAHHH!!!
I think the first word in the actual quote is different.
