not semaphore... at least not that I recognize
No, it's not semaphore. Actually, it's more elementary than that, my good man.
It's actually a simple substitution cipher, but it was made into a font as well.
Take note of what the men are doing. :D

Elementary, my dear . . . and another great puzzle, scoutmom!

Excellent puzzles all around tonight. Thanks scoutmom!
[8] actually, there are five of them! (one is unfeatured, but it was mentioned on one of the featured pages.)

Must be a slow night...3 hours behind and still got bonus points. And got to skim a story...thanks [2] & [5]. Back to that other mystery.
Heh, four hours late and still 56th! :)
Nice and simple. :)
I saw the veiled hints up above, but I haven't been able to find this font anywhere. Can anyone offer an additional clue?
[16] If you can't find the font itself, this might help:

Just keep in mind this is a straightforward substitution cipher, with little dancing men instead of letters. Still solvable the same way.
Curse my disinterest in dry Victorian literature... Thanks for the tip. ;)
wow.. never expected bonus points this late.
Good puzzle
