Wow, I solved this a completely different way than the solution says - yet I got the exact same answer. Super weird.

[4] same here. I went immediately for a list of states in order of admission. Big waste of time!
[5] actually, this is probably hardest for US citizens.

Philana used official US flags. The flag with 15 stripes had 15 stars.
