Yeah! number 1! First time in long time for me (if ever- I don't recall...)

    A bit different. Good puzzle.

That was unique. And very cool.

Yes, as long as you remember this is Tanga and not math class.

    nice one.

    Clueless on this one...

[7] Do a little math first. Go around the circle until something matches.

  9. FilePepperslog on Aug 21, 2008 08:21 AM

    [7] Me too.

[8] Sorry, that doesn't help. I think I just need a starting point - otherwise I'm just going in circles.

  10. FilePancakestempus42 on Aug 21, 2008 09:35 AM

[9] I'm still lost too. I just tried walking around the circle using the numbers at the bottom from every starting point, no luck. My assumption was that the numbers on the circle = letters. So one or both of those assumptions are wrong.

Are the words in the middle of the circle legitimate clues or red herrings? I'm guessing those numbers must be the key somehow, but I haven't been able to figure out where they come from...

[7][9] What would you get if you subtracted the words from each other? Does that give you a starting place on the wheel?

  12. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Aug 21, 2008 09:39 AM

[10] Your assumption is NOT wrong. It's just a matter of doing the center math to find the starting point of the wheel.

  13. FileClockmust67 on Aug 21, 2008 09:41 AM

Each of the words in the center are actually in the form
    t+a+n=51
If thats too salty forgive me

excellent, and still some points in the next afternoon.

    Math isn't a bad thing.

101st after 19 hours. Geesh. Couldn't see the forest for the trees. (No salt, just talking normally.)

I kept doing one tiny thing wrong, but other than that I had the right idea from the beginning. But that tiny error made a BIG difference.

I'm glad I didn't spend more time on this. Sorry.

It finally made sense after I back solved, but this was pretty Asperger for my tastes.

No wonder I couldn't get it. I interpretted the clues being inside and rotated meant the arrows indicated how they were supposed to be read off, which they weren't.
