You'll need digits and punctuation. Also, assume both chests contain the same thing.

I didn't know that about Roman numerals

Not using spelled out words, use the digits and a comma for it to take. Took me 4 tries to get it right. Sad.

[4] Hmmmm... "same thing in both chests" makes no sense, given the count... I'm not gettin this. :)

[7] Think what the labels would like otherwise. :)

easy enough to get without using the roman numerals, just had to realy recognize what were in the chests and where they were. Refreshing crypto

[16] Why are football and hockey sports the only relevant ones? Personal preference or misguided attempt at salt?

I'm lost... and if there is salt, it's not helping me...
interesting fact that line over roman numerals = x 1000... did not know... but don't see how it helps?

It looks like an open and shut case to me.
Which is strange, since I'm still stumped.

[19] It's salt, except baseball (and maybe others I'm less familiar with) also qualifies given how it's organized. And the punctuation fits one interpretation, just not the original.

"You solved this puzzle in 7 hours, 10 minutes and 49 seconds"
