Got the phrase with much googling -- I'll be interested to know if everyone here has heard of it. I hadn't. It seems to be connected to a business whose closest location is 254 miles from me.
I have two possibilities for the top, but I've got nothing for the bottom, even with [1]. I'm feeling pretty silly about now. I'm trying for a post and solve!
Edit: not exactly a post and solve, but I got there. Neither of the bottom pictures were what I thought they were. Bottom right picture is not directional.
I've got several pieces, but I can't string them together at all. Does this have anything to do with the image in the background that, until now, I had never heard of?
That was terrible. In addition to [11]'s problem, there were so many misleading details. "East" and "right" combine to form a lot of words; why not use, for the last picture, the kind you shoot from a bow? For the bottom left, do we want Newton? Isaac? niche? orb? (answer: no.) Add all that to a phrase that the vast, vast majority of people have no chance of having ever seen or heard, that gets less than 30 hits on Google as a phrase...I fear this had nothing at all to recommend it.
on the eastern shore of Maryland there is a shack that has the faded words 'used cars' on it's roof. the place turned into a similar establishment seen in the background of this puzzle and replaced the word 'cars' with a word in this puzzle. however they did not completely get rid of the word 'used'. never went there but I hope they didn't sell

I'm so glad my husband recognized that Westminster Abbey niche! (I would have had an equal and opposite reaction, myself.)

Ok, well...the word I got from the first two pics made me want to go rinse my mouth out. Thank goodness I was wrong.

[2] Closest one to me is in NJ, about 249 miles away. The one referenced is 3122 miles away. Heard of the place but not the phrase.

[2] I'm near the location referenced in the solution explanation, but I haven't heard of it either.
