[1] It makes me wonder if the mods plan these things. :) The puzzle doesn't work as well if 1 is different.

I hope this makes up for the difficulty of my previous puzzle.

Sigh, how else am I supposed to 'afford' a house where the average price is $500k?? At regular rates, that's $3k a month for a 3 bedroom condo....riiiiight

Had to try too many variations on this one. This didn't have adequate clues to specify the second word without random guesses.

Funny how no one has asked or posted salt yet. Is this because it's unfeatured?

[8] I think numbers have 2 primary uses in Tanga puzzles: 1) to dial in which letter in a word to pick out, and 2) the one used here. I tried to clue that it's not the first by having no words. If you could PM me what random guess you were led to try, I can try to make better puzzles in future. In the meantime, I rather like this puzzle because of the economy.
