I know there's a lot of numbers in the puzzle. We (me and a couple of mods) kicked this around a lot looking for ways to get to clue the answer without either completely giving it away or expecting the user to make a Herculean leap.
This was the best compromise I could come up with ... I'm curious if solvers have any suggestions for alternate routes to the same answer?
Incidentally, one set of numbers removes the dreaded gratuitous anagramming beast. I think requiring anagramming would have been cruel and unusual.
I get that final step, I think. And I have the connection between the images. I just can't think of any set of words to apply the other set of numbers to...
Edit: well, step two finally clicked [forehead smack], and I still can't get anywhere. I now have seven letters that don't make a word... I must be applying the numbers wrong...
Re-edit: I had it after all, I was counting wrong for one letter [hammer to forehead]. Thanks for the hints.
Same situation, I have the connection, and I think I know what one set of numbers is, but the other set is confusing me, since the source material doesn't seem to apply in any way I can think of right now.
[12] Yeah, I so wanted this to be the longest Cryptopix answer ever (then you wouldn't need any of the numbers), but there was no way that'd go smoothly :)
Between punctuation and different versions/spelling, it would have been bloodshed for sure. And I didn't want this terrifically clued puzzle to be blackened.

While searching for the clues... I found that answer. I guess I lucked out. Good one though.

Stuck at step two...
this looks to be interesting.
Edit: 40 minutes later and still getting nowhere. Anybody got a bit of a push?

[13] The seven clues are key words in a larger body of text that you'll need.
If I gave you an eighth clue, it would be the same as the first.

BTW, excellent puzzle, CWarrior.
