EDIT: sorry, I was wrong about what I said. There's something very, very strange (and oddly coincidental) about the particular arrangement of things here.
Am I the only one struggling to read the text? Just a tip for puzzle makers ... serif fonts are harder to read for most puzzles. If you're going to use them, go a little larger font and use a wider outline. It's not a hard and fast rule, but Arial/Helvetica is the best font for puzzles.
I overlooked part of the top right statement and somehow messed up the bottom left as well, and that had me confused. Once I retried the method with the right info it fell into place.
nice puzzle, it took me forever to figure out the answer to the riddle (only after i solved), i finally gave up and looked for other clues. [14] is the best salt out there. I really have no idea what [5] is about.
Ok, I got something from each of the things people said (one duplicate). But applying that in the usual places gives me goop. And I don't see how the riddle answer figures into it. Even when I applied the riddle answer, it looked good until the end, but more goop.

Hmm. I've got a first step, I'm fairly sure, but I'm getting gibberish out of the results.

I answered the riddle at the bottom, but it isn't leading me to anything yet...

I am sure i will feel dumb too... if I ever get it. I don't understand [7]. I think I have numerous clues [4], but what to do with them is eluding me.

[13] Check for clues in the sounds of what the people are saying...the second from the bottom was easiest for me.
Great puzzle.
