    Hi all,

Renfurdson has agreed to suspend the 9:00am slot for unfeatured puzzles. I don't know if there will be an official announcement regarding unfeatured puzzles soon, but the suspension of this time slot is effective beginning Wednesday, Oct 15.

Thanks to all who contributed the puzzles that were published during this time slot.

Those are choices -- the word "or" isn't in the solution.

  3. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Tue Oct 14, 2008 09:10 AM

Got the first part fine...no clue on the 2nd part.

  4. FilePancakestempus42 on Tue Oct 14, 2008 09:14 AM

[3] I *think* I have the first part. I've tried all the words I can think of that start with that part, and no luck. (They're all proper nouns anyway.) No idea on the second part. (And does Johnny Carson really need to be labelled? Am I that old?)

  5. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Tue Oct 14, 2008 09:16 AM

[4] I wondered that about Carson too. Guess we're over the hill. LOL

[4] I'm in the same place as you....lost. And labeling Johnny Carson? Why not, I had to label Andy Griffith for mine!

    Woo Hoo ... Third!

You solved this puzzle in 1 minute and 58 seconds and were the 3rd Tanga member to solve it. You earned 3 points for solving this.

For the first pic, it wasnt the first word that came to mind.

    [7] Thanks! :-)

[7] 5th - I was already on the track of synonyms when I saw your comment. Need a general term for the bottom too.

[10] [11] Halt! Who goes there?

  13. Ronald-mcd-3EggKilgore on Tue Oct 14, 2008 02:36 PM

[12] That would make an excellent cryptopix but it's not helping me...

    NM -post and solve

got the top and I think the bottom.
    dissapointed!
    can't seem to get it.

    ~"La Brea Tar Pits."?

  15. FileEggj15bell on Tue Oct 14, 2008 03:11 PM

    ~"Green Acres."?

    [4]
I labeled Carson because there may be people who are "too young" - also I didn't want ppl to be trying to use "johnny" or "carson" as part of the answer. I could have put "Johnny Carson as Carnac the Magnificent" to narrow down the choices even more.

[14],[15] - I see you finally got it!

    never would have gotten that!
