This is a very salty puzzle!
YUM!
Is it possible there's an error with this puzzle? I *think * I know the answer for the 4th one down, but that seems to mean there's no possible answer for the 1st or 2nd ones, assuming the numbers work how I think they should... (Lots of assumptions there, I know...)
16 solves and no salt here? C'mon folks. Some of us need help! Pleeeeeeeease! (Yes, that is begging you hear.)
[2]&[3] Would it be easier if the dashes/blanks at the bottom were numbered?
[4] - I don't think so. I did realize the number of dashes above and below match (in number). I figure the letters that fit in the dashes above move down to the dashes below for the answer (or rather, a clue to it). But I can't get words to fit in the blanks up above. I'm assuming that the words on top are names of spices/herbs/whatever, and that all '3's for example are the same letter. If I'm correct about those assumptions, then I can't come up with words that fit correctly.
[5] That's where I'm at too. I have words that fit the bottom but don't work at the top and vice versa.
[5] Your latter assumption is incorrect.
Ok, this puzzle's really making me feel stupid. :(
Edit: Finally got it. Thanks, epaz, for all your help. That was a LOT of work!
[8] I agree. A LOT of work. Blah.
Ok, this was just odd.
I've got what I believe are the 4 words, but have no idea what the next step is. Any salt?
