Very straightforward. Years of assember programming didn't hurt, either.

  2. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Dec 16, 2008 07:08 PM

Ok, got a little hung up on the binary, but once I got that straight, pretty easy. Nice!

  3. FileSailboatdagibbs on Dec 16, 2008 07:08 PM

    w00t! 30th, that's pretty good for me.

  4. FilePumpkinJohn on Dec 16, 2008 07:08 PM

I've got one digit for this puzzle. :(

  5. VaderhardtimesEgggchild469 on Dec 16, 2008 07:08 PM

[1] I agree, very straightforward and easy

  6. Avatar_12-08Pancakesthreehojos on Dec 16, 2008 07:08 PM

Any help for those of us who are mathmatically disinclined?

  7. FilePancakeshatemachine on Dec 16, 2008 07:08 PM

    Man I hate numbers.

  8. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Dec 16, 2008 07:09 PM

I am lost on the binary step, if it is a step.

  9. FilePepperslog on Dec 16, 2008 07:11 PM

Nice one! It reminds of a similar puzzle we had a while ago.

  10. FilePancakeshatemachine on Dec 16, 2008 07:12 PM

I cringe at the word "binary."

  11. FilePepperslog on Dec 16, 2008 07:13 PM

[8] Wikipedia has all of the info you need on binary. There's even a handy binary-decimal conversion table.

  12. FilePepperdajagr on Dec 16, 2008 07:14 PM

I must be doing something wrong. I'm coming out with alphabet soup.

  13. 1981709Sailboatjgf on Dec 16, 2008 07:17 PM

Make sure to keep each clue and don't mix them.

  14. FilePancakeshatemachine on Dec 16, 2008 07:17 PM

[11] That "handy" table means nothing to me.

  15. Avatar_12-08Pancakesthreehojos on Dec 16, 2008 07:18 PM

well, finally got it - binary step is a doozy...

  16. FileBananaCardzmaster2004 on Dec 16, 2008 07:18 PM

Keeping things as separate entities and a little googling for converters did the trick for me. Just follow the directions and you'll be safe. Excellent puzzle as usual Murdoctor!

  17. FileEggj15bell on Dec 16, 2008 07:25 PM

no way I'm even gonna attempt this one. hope all you math wizzo's sucked on the Beatles Yesterday!!!!! :)

    i i don't know what i i am doing...........

  18. FileEggj15bell on Dec 16, 2008 07:21 PM

God bless the Tanganite that will TG the answer to me.

    tyvm!

  19. FilePepperslog on Dec 16, 2008 07:28 PM

[18] Why would you care about the answer if you're not even going to attempt the puzzle?

  20. FileRocketjdanhder on Dec 16, 2008 07:36 PM

I must be dense. I don't even get the Digits part. :(

[21] When in doubt, use Tanga numbers. Man, I am dense.
Thanks for the salt. That solved it for me.

  21. FilePepperslog on Dec 16, 2008 07:32 PM

    [20] Think Tanga numbers.

  22. FileEggj15bell on Dec 16, 2008 07:33 PM

[19] you never had a day like that? :)

  23. Avatar_profileRadishRastus on Dec 16, 2008 07:34 PM

Well it is straight forward but I was stuck on the digits part.

    Roman numerals are letters right?
Letters can be tanga numbers right?

    Just continue the process.

    That's all I'm saying.

  24. Ptdkr003cb_700_knocker_93946_255x300Tomatonocca on Dec 16, 2008 07:34 PM

    Thank you [13]

  25. FilePepperdajagr on Dec 16, 2008 07:37 PM

I'm getting hung up on the binary part. Nothing I'm doing with binary seems to be getting me anywhere.

Edit: And that would be P&S. IMHO, there should be a "decimal" after binary, although that might screw people up in the opposite direction.

  26. Avatar1_edited-2Sailboataurnivi on Dec 17, 2008 02:19 PM

I would have commented earlier but hatemachine was reading my mind!! He commented what I was thinking!

  27. Avatar1_edited-2Sailboataurnivi on Dec 17, 2008 02:20 PM

I get by with a little help from my friends...thanks for the friendly binary help, wouldn't have solved without you.

  28. FileEggj15bell on Dec 16, 2008 07:48 PM

[27] ditto. got help but not the answer. so I didn't have to repeat anything anyone told me.

  29. FileDuckiedavey3 on Dec 16, 2008 08:02 PM

[10] - I don't cringe at the word binary ... just at its use in this puzzle.

  30. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Dec 16, 2008 08:30 PM

Yes, well, it took me a while to figure out that the spaces between each letter are there for a reason, and should NOT be removed at ANY step along the way.

  31. FileSailboatdagibbs on Dec 16, 2008 10:03 PM

[30] Actually, the spaces go away after the last step.

  32. FileEggplantHackmaster12 on Dec 18, 2008 07:59 AM

I don't cringe at the word binary, just at [26] and [27]'s misspelling of "would have" (or "would've). :)

  33. FilePumpkinJohn on Dec 17, 2008 07:31 AM

[4] Complain and solve is my variation on post and solve.

  34. Avatar_profileCarrotdavidsan on Dec 17, 2008 07:41 AM

    wow, nice.

  35. Avatar_profilePearkevboy on Dec 17, 2008 11:14 AM

  36. Aug080195Eggplantgusssr on Jun 06, 2010 07:59 PM

I think I will try to do a similar puzzle. Ok, maybe not. :)

  37. FileDuckiePatanga on Nov 28, 2011 07:26 PM
