anyone else working on this?
[1] Not successfully to this point, but, yeah, I'm looking.
i can't seem to find a theme with any of these
I don't see a theme either. Have what may be 4 or 5 of the 6 words at the bottom, but don't see how they can go together. And what's with the + and - line? A clue? Certainly the bottom words will not fit in there.
i see how to possibly use the +-+ but the words I have make gibberish.. ugh
I can't seem to find a correct sequence of words to use the + - + segment.
And what about "just one of the guys"?
the answer is a female?
i feel like a flock of red herrings are being thrown at my face
so far i get _RARK_ or _EARK_
....
[7] Or maybe a school!
[8] whatever they are lol
maybe ill find one and cut down the biggest tree in the forrest
so that 1 solver should lay some salt.. epaz
OMG I got it, by accident! But I was on the right track...
Not being "one of the guys" myself, I too sometimes feel a little left out.
PS - Clever puzzle, dajagr! Thanks!
(Not salt.)
So what is some salt?
salt please
[13] do you mean as explained here http://tanga.com/forum/blogs/980_PUZZLER_FAQS ,
or as in more modern, as opposed to ancient, Egypt? Either way, I hope this Tcounts!
Nice puzzle...
Fun!
Got the theme, having a little trouble with the first and last clues.
Wow! Have a headache after that one
For those having trouble with the last clue, I'll suggest applying to a thesaurus with the key word.
First clue salt being shared at BGG:
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/2198788#2198788
and the replies following...
I'm not seeing the theme at all. I'm just not finding any obvious connection between the clues, and without the theme, they're all too vague to come up with answers, thesaurus or no thesaurus.
(e.g. "Not working" = "unemployed" or "broken"? Which way to go? No clue as to why any given synonym would be better than any other...)
My only guess on theme is the words might contain mens' names? Tell me if I'm close...
[22] you're so close, you're getting salt everywhere!
[20] Thanks - that helped. I had used a thesaurus on the only word I could come up with before I discovered the theme... but didn't think of using the clue's key word.
I had the right word for clue #1 all along but didn't realize it because it worked a little differently than the others.
[21] salt for the people that cant access that site on a filtered internet connection?
ok i have all the names cept the first one ... _ADMKR???? i dont understand + - + --- + ness
[26] ok i think i know what you're doing, and i think you're on the right track... EXCEPT you're forgetting the quote at the top. In fact, you're doing the opposite!
(also, rethink your last answer)
Pretty nice. It'd be cooler if the answer repeated the theme.
