[1] Enigmatic, to say the least... oh, wait, you already did that. :)
Went the wrong way with one of the clues at first.
whose the girl or is that importanr
[2] You can't delete and I was having trouble rephrasing myself. Basically, there are a few that I would disagree with, though one is commonly used on puzzles here.
[4] Character is important. Isn't it always? ;)
I assume she's important. She's a character from the Addams Family. I'm getting nowhere.
Maybe your unable to concentrate because of noise. Quieter would be better.
You could go a couple of different ways with the third clue. Same with the girl's name.
This puzzle theme is always a bit controversial.
The more I think about it - the more I must state - the third clue is just plain wrong.
Thosw, I was just looking at your old puzzles. I remember doing the "cut and fold" one, back in January 2007. That was cool!
And the record showed that I was the 16th to finish in 18 minutes. I was so proud of myself, then. Fond memories. :)
[10] Agreed. There's only one in that clue, and it's not the one that's used.
Haha! Three topics of conversation that never have closure: religion, politics, and this theme.
somebody throw some salt my way, I am stumped! oh heck just tell me what it is;-)
I'd love to tell you...but the title tells me Shhhhh! so you might not hear what I tell you.
[10] [12] I'll argue as well that 3rd clue is just wrong - set me back a long time - unless I've forever "ronounced" it wrong...
[16] I agree totally. The 3rd clue has TWO possible answers.
[16] Thank you. Finally heard what I'd been missing.
Doh. Had the wrong possible answer for both the 2nd & 3rd clues.
Booooo on #3.
Third clue is most definitely wrong. No one pronounces the "P". Bad, bad, bad.....
I pronounce the supposedly silent letter in the third clue. It would have worked better with a kind of fish (but some people pronounce that one, too).
Mea Culpa on #3!
In my haste to find a word with the requisite clue, I completely missed the fact that two of them fit the bill.
As it is, I've still never heard anybody pronounce either.
I'd have to say over a majority of people pronounce the L.
