First, solely on a guess due to the puppets. I'm too big a fan, I guess.
I guessed based on the song. I've always adored it!
There don't seem to be enough spaces for the first one.
Hm. nowhere near the right number of blanks in #1... nice puzzle though!
And the second clue is misspelled.
I fixed the # of spaces for the first clue.
[5] They should have either put Peiping or Peking, either would be correct....but not what's there.
The original spaces in one worked for Petrograd which was correct for Leningrad.
The sixth clue is also misspelled according to wiki.
Only needed the first 3....

I think Losantisville should actually be Losantiville, but easy enough o figure out with google/wiki. I do like the theme of this one.
