Puzzle Discussion

There's an "it" missing from the end of the solution. (According to wikipedia.)
Waaay too many variations on spelling, phrasing, etc.
[1] Actually, if you read the rest of the article, the final "it" should NOT be there... so the puzzle solution is correct.
This is exactly how I learned it
[2](Replying to my own comment?) I've made a few of the long phrase cryptos and this is better than most of them ... it's not a particularly egregious offender, but there are some where long phrase equals massive frustration trying to submit an answer, particularly at the 7:00PST crunch/rush.
When we used to play this kind of game in charades, the actor would hold up some fingers to show "ten words" or something like that. Too bad we don't see much of that on Tanga.
[3] Hey, editing the Wikipedia article doesn't count!
[1] I agree. Wikipedia shows 'it' so therefore it should be there right?
Flagpole Sitta! Great song!
[2] It seems pretty unambiguous to me. Each word of the final phrase is clued.
I had never heard this variation of the phrase, but I got it correct the first time from the clues.
P.S. Good job on the clues, Philana.
[1]nope
[2]nope.
[4]yep. me also.
never heard it with that final 'it' either...got this in about 2 seconds, my folks used to make fun of this one lol
great job on the clues
[6] Sure it does. With the internet, the truth is what you make it. LOL
