    Any salt? I'm confused!

9th. Lots of tries needed before I got the right path. I missed the easiest part for the starting point!

the percentages have me all confused...would have an idea, except for that some end in a 5

  6. FileEggGamesX4 on Mar 03, 2009 07:22 PM

would have done better than 14 if I had gone down instead of up on the 5th clue.

[5] Same here. Although I notice that the ones that end in 5 have two words.

[5] [7] The percentages are just that - percentages. Use them as such (once you have something to apply them TO, of course). The fact that the ones ending in 5 correspond to the 2-word entries is merely coincidence.

This would have been better if all the steps were clued in some way. Rather than having to do hit or miss until something made a word.

my head is spinning, I'm nauseous from doing the math.

[9] agreed. no conformity at all.

Took me a few brain cells and some staring time to see the pattern emerge. I agree with [9] for better cluing...

I still don't know where to start. What do I apply the percentages to? I can't stare any longer.

70th after an hour and 22 minutes ... not easy to figure out what to do, but good puzzle once you see it.

  15. SouthparkPepperTahnan on Mar 03, 2009 09:02 PM

In that case, [9], does someone want to provide those clues?

  16. DaddysleepsPotatoTankerbay on Mar 03, 2009 09:51 PM

    Still bonus available.

It's really only 1 step... apply the percentage to the tanga value you take from each word.

  17. FilePepperslog on Mar 03, 2009 10:00 PM

    [16] Thanks.

  18. FileKiwiDullorb on Mar 03, 2009 10:57 PM

Not often I get bonus points! Due to work can't get to this until 1am CST.

Figured out how to do it on the first try... Sweet

Just remember that only whole numbers make sense and by line two you should have it figured out.

Stare... Stare... Stare... Curse...Stare... Sleep... Aha!

Oh, MAN, I struggled with this. I must have returned to it 20 times before I thought: What if I try it THIS way?

Loved this puzzle. After struggling forever, I finally read the comments and[20] was the clue that helped break the ice.
