Pretty neat idea! The last step is a little bit of a stretch, but the theme lends support.

Do the colors matter?

Are the specific places listed of any significance or is it more general?

This incorrect answer did lead me to the proper method, once I did recall it was a OWW.

I figured out the clues, but don't know where to go from there.

I haven't solved this yet, but I did notice that the current deal also contains this shape... :)

Bah, had the right method a while ago but screwed up the application.

I spent too much time on the dead end of looking up capitals before hitting on the correct method. It is clever, though.
