I got the phrase, but it won't take it. Does it have to be typed a certain way?

[3] The first part is a contraction.
Punctuation for the first word. The rest of it fell in place nicely after that.
used the punctuation but is it now needed?

You don't need the punctuation, but you still need to write it as a contraction, even without the punctuation. Writing the separate words that make up the contraction won't work, since that will have an extra letter.

even though the first image doesnt contract it, the answer has the contraction.
