First 1st
Since I usually don't look at the puzzles until the next day, probably my last as well.
damnit im so close i can feel it
Got everything but what's in the diamond shape...
i didnt think anything? but that would make sense why im getting gibberish...
ugh i cant figure out the spiral....
[5] Try using a 6x6 grid in excel to create it - follow the background pattern.
ahh the background .. was doing it backwards the whole time cause thats how i always do it
thanks [6]!
[3] You're very close. You don't have to look inside the diamond.
Edit: original salt was misleading.
Nice one. Initially had a similar (but incorrect) word for the first. Managed to solve it without the second.
Edit: What [11] said. :)
[3]Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
Where does the puzzle start? Top left or center?
ok i've tried about every iteration of that sprial as humanly possible...
[8]is the diamond a "mathematical" term that would fit a diamond and square but not rectangle?
I'm perplexed by the numbers on the pictures.
I've named the shapes:
O.R.P.T.H.
I've tried naming the shapes with an "increased size":
N.P.H.R.H.
I've tried sorting by "increasing size":
T.R.P.H.O.
I'm pretty sure I've "straightened out" the 36 digits below, but I can't get a string of 36 characters from the shapes (and there are still those pesky numbers.)
TBTOHNMMM is my most recent venture... this is putting my head in circles.. literally
[14] I think the numbers on the pictures is the # of letters in the word. But the diamond one is throwing me off.
[16] lol you answered your own question.
[12] Top left.
[16] You're right.
Don't look inside the diamond. See [11].
[14] what do those pesky numbers add up to?
Sometimes the shape in the image is the clue. Sometimes, the name of the shape in the image is the clue. Sometimes, the clue is the answer.
Oh, finally!!! If I'd just realized that the number of sides referred to a single unit....
MSAMOAOOR?
I get 5 = B, not O
but that's still not doing it for me.
[22] I get MSAMBAOOM
Or OHUPPSEOO
[22][23][24] Maybe your orders are reversed? Start at the top left with the answer to the triangle clue.
Is the 4,5 answer split up, or kept together in the ordering?
[25] Thank you!!!! finally got it!
You solved this puzzle in 2 hours, 12 minutes and 37 seconds
[26] kept together
[23] the b is wrong i know where you got that from. its not that, its the more obvious answer.
[25] That gives me OBERHEUCE
[29] The answer to the 4-sided polygon clue is not "rhombus".
[30] I had only seen your original salt about it not being a diamond. So, that was wrong. Sigh.
Finally got it.
[all] Thanks for all the hand holding. I had most of the right parts, it was just a matter of sorting things out.
Drat. My finger spasmed on the "Post" button. This double post wasn't a product of impatience, just lack of muscle control. :) (no salt. it's just a double post.)
[31] Sorry.
It occurs to me that instead of spiraling the letters, it might have been easier to just unspiral the numbers. :)
I think I have the correct words, but the spiral is not working for me
I cant get the spiral to work either.
[36] [37] The answer to the octagon clue should be the innermost part of the spiral.
[38] Thank you - that and hint #2 did it for me.
For the 5th picture I was trying to use the little guys instead of the structure behind them. Same number of letters, but wrongo! :)
