Nice to see a board game themed puzzle ... I miss those.
I always called (some of) them wheat, wood, and stone. I guess officially they are other words.
i'm surprised i'm 30th. i always do the cryptopix first and do this later. :)
1st, helps that I just played this last night
Never having played this game, it was difficult to know what to call the cards. What I assumed they were didn't yield any result. Nice puzzle if you are familiar with the game though.
Very straightforward.
Very, very.
I had no idea having never played the game. The guesses I made did not produce any result. I finally got help.
I don't own the game "The Settlers of Catan" so I don't have a common frame of reference to solve it.
Never played this game but I would like to try... Wikipedia helped.
God bless Wiki.
[10] amen to that.
[2] me too
I'm still reading the Wiki on this game....kinda unfair to require specialized knowledge.
Geez....alternate card names. Otherwise straightforward puzzle.
Is game knowledge required beyond identifying the resources?
Lol. All the puzzles require some specialized knowledge ;)
[14] No.
This ticked me off. The puzzle relies on the identification of the cards as described on Wikipedia. However, the identification of the cards on Wikipedia differs from the identification of the cards in the official rules of the board game from both the European and US publishers. This is simply wrong.
Hmm, even for the edition in the pictures?
Maybe you should go edit the wiki!
grain, lumber, wool, wool, wool, brick, ore, ore, ore ???
even if so...still not seeing it
[19] Wow, that's quite a truck load of salt there.
[2] yes, my group always like to say " I have wood for ewes".
got it with wiki.
[21] I like it. It'll be a nice change from our typical "I've got wood for your sheep." Fun game!
[19] Thanks for the help! You saved me a trip to Wiki and a lot of time trying to figure this one out.
[21] [23] "I offer lumber in exchange for wool" just doesn't have the same ring to it. :)
yeah ... i've never called them by their official names, either...
