"You solved this puzzle in 2 hours, 40 minutes and 26 seconds..."

That'll teach me to close the browser window without logging out first.

...'cause I didn't really stare at the screen for 2.5 hours. Really. Why is everyone staring at me?

[4][5] No, doesn't matter if you log out. Once you click "open" the puzzle, your clock is running, regardless. You could disconnect from the 'net, turn your computer off, doesn't matter.

Heh, kinda makes me want to open a puzzle and not solve it for, like, a week and see what happens.

[7] Later last night (after I posted #4), I went back to a puzzle that I had visited late last week. Apparently I took 4 solid days to solve that one.

Good to know; thanks for the info.

[7] I've done that... had a few that sat around for a year or so unsolved.

Solving the first half one way and the second half another way doesn't work. Consistency is the key. ;)

i am seriously overthinking these sometimes.
...and as a result: You solved this puzzle in 5 hours, 54 minutes and 46 seconds and were the 247th Tanga member to solve it. :(
