Glad you didn't use the English Spelling (such as the Moody Blues did).

  2. FractalEggdduensing on Mon Feb 08, 2010 07:01 PM

I learned the last word as "Fudge".

  9. 100_1703Raspberrysonjahi on Mon Feb 08, 2010 07:13 PM

I had to google with the 1st 3 to finish it out - noticed "fudge" appeared first but the other was there and fit the clues.

  10. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Mon Feb 08, 2010 07:13 PM

[8] me too....but also 'does fine'

    [10] [12] Me too.

  14. FractalEggdduensing on Mon Feb 08, 2010 07:34 PM

[12] Depends on your teacher....my second one 3 years later always used the "does fine", but I learned "fudge" first.

Never heard of the puzzle's version of it until tonight.

  15. FileEggplantHackmaster12 on Mon Feb 08, 2010 07:44 PM

    Fudge here.

  16. Avatar_profileRocketbarefootrd on Mon Feb 08, 2010 07:49 PM

Haha - I was all kinds of stumped on the first clue (tusk), since it had no I...then I backfilled once I had the rest.

    Does fine here too.

  26. Avatar_profilePlumarronburke on Tue Feb 09, 2010 07:06 AM

I'm also with the "fudge" crowd...but our teachers also made us aware of "does fine" as well....never had heard this version! (but easy enough to figure out!)

  27. KittylolxRocketjohanna on Tue Feb 09, 2010 10:26 AM

And I also learned it as Does Fine.

  28. Avatar_profilePeachdtc333 on Tue Feb 09, 2010 10:50 AM

[18] Fruit is how I learned it in New Zealand.

  29. KStrawberrykaitxo on Tue Feb 09, 2010 11:18 AM

    Huh?

  30. Avatar_profileGrapessc4r on Tue Feb 09, 2010 11:31 AM

hahaha [17] I like your version best! But I learned it as "does fine" at first and heard about "deserves fudge" later on. "Favor" was a new one to me as well, but wasn't hard to figure out.

  31. PirogoethPlumPirogoeth on Tue Feb 09, 2010 11:57 AM

[10][12[13] Me too. I couldn't figure out why "does fine" wasn't working!

  33. Avatar_profileAppleMrGoat on Wed Feb 10, 2010 12:06 PM
