"earned 60 points for solving"
YAY! 2nd in 3:35! Great puzzle
I figured out all the clues, but I'm not sure how to get the answer.
[3] don't make it harder than it is - once you have the clues, that's all you need (don't start looking stuff up on wikipedia like i did...)
Thank you sir! (Or madam. :) )
[4]...still no clue....too many words for oww, and not a lot in common...
[6]it could have been Captain Kirk...speaking. (which is how I got it, actually)
[4] You saved me a lot of time :)
[6] use a 'tanga technique'
[4], [8], but didn't seem to help me...I'm not making the connection between all of the locations....
edit...[11] Thanks...that's what I needed
[10] It's not the location. Just use the first thing that comes to mind.
[4] [7], thank you, you saved me a bunch of time. I did not even get the first one but your tips plus the remaining ones were enough to give me the right guess.
I agree with [1] - not worth the strain it will cause on my eyes.
[7], [4]. Thanks! tabbed browsing not necessary tonight.
Way too many 'con's to get it,,o K
I'm stumped. I have the word you get out of all the clues, but it alone isn't the answer and I don't know what to do with it...
[2]...2nd....3:35???? And you had so much trouble last night ?LOL...LOL...LOL...OHHH....LOL...LOL!!!
I have no idea on this one. Left for a couple of hours, came back. I have all seven clues figured out, but don't see any "tricky" relation between them.

EDIT: Thank you [21]. In the end I just guessed. The first clue I had wrong, I didn't notice there was a color in that block. I might have solved this last night if I had noticed the color and hadn't translated the other picture in that block. I think this could be a problem others are having.
Google-fest for the fail.
[19] One might say its a secondary initial problem that only someone like Magellan could find.
This is just awful....
I have to agree with bhodges... I get ALL of the clues and I understand what the author is talking about, it is just completely unclear what should be typed into the "answer" box
Helps if you translate the right word in picture #1. Couldn't see the colored square for all the damned capes.
thanks [9]

This first one is confusing, imho, because of improbable trick of the mind, that the puzzle designer couldn't have predicted. The three colors in the area from a flag pattern that MATCHES the words. This renders them difficult to see as individual items. The Mind registers the meaning the Whole and quickly demises that Parts. Interesting.
I'm a n00b and don't know what a "tanga technique" is. Lil help?
I know the clues and the meaning of it all, I just can't figure the right words to enter to get it to accept the answer. Dang
One should note that the reference to Magellin in the last part of the explaination is incorrect.
[26] Common tanga techniques are to replace numbers with letters 1->a 2-> ... 25->y 26->z, anagram a single collection of letters, or to take one letter from each of several words in some pattern and combine them.
I thought it should be canaveral but it was easier than that =P
