Okay - the first picture was a little bit of a stretch to me...
yeah....
It wasn't easy at all....first clue not keyed into the desired word...threw me off big time...
salt?
[4] No, it isn't.
nm - I was stethoscoping too hard
i have no idea...
I especially liked the color choices :)

Not really a true cryptopix, because of the first clue. Surprised this made it as a featured puzzle. [3], I agree with you.
I think I got the stonehenge one word wonder better, and that was meant to be tough. thanks for the help [3], and [6]
[10] Did you miss the dot?
The dot is actually wrong. Can't say more.
[10], [12], didn't miss the dot... there are LOTS of stethoscope users that aren't doctors...the two don't equate..."scope dot, stethodot"..my family thinks (knows) I'm nuts as I yell this out....
A bit of a leap, but a nice change of pace, too. I liked it.
[14] some people just buy them to hang over the rear view mirror of their car - I assumed this was a weak attempt to make speed trap cops think they're going to an emergency.
I'm not getting it.
Obviously this one is not very easy.
[17]..who often wears the item pictured in the first pic around the neck? abbreviate that, follow it by the dot; follow that by pic #2....
[18]...yes and no
thanks [14]
I like the note in the answer - "Obviously this one's very easy". Yes, if you have a psychic link with the puzzle author....
The dot in the first picture makes the stethoscope ok. I was on stethoscope until I saw the dot. This crypto is fine, stop nitpicking.
the dot in the puzzle should not be there. look up the answer and you'll know what i mean
obviously, this is something that not many people really notice
Not nitpicking just not easy because not accustomed to this way.
[22] wow very salty
LOL I've done that b4 too
[24] wow, I wasn't thinking, deleted
I was just excited that I knew something that most of the geniuses on Tanga did not for a change.
Hahaha very nice play on the dot!!! Definitly wasn't headed in that direction right away!
not for me.
Don't forget the dot!!!
You don't have to enter punctuation when submitting an answer. Even if the author included it in the answer, you don't need to do it.
And for fun ... you can even leave the spaces out too. Or pu tsp ace sin we irdpla ces andi twil lstil lwork.
Just so you know ...

[19] - THANKS!
[27] um, you're SO close. If you just shorten up the first part, and then you should delete your post
Thanks [31] and [32] and jebiediehard for the charitable tips to the thickheaded. Someone has magically deleted my original post (the post formerly known as [27]) which is probably a good thing since my rambling was too salty (which I did not know at the time).
Do I get a prize for being the first person to have a post that was too salty before I even got the answer? I am sure that is some kind of an accomplishment.
P.S.And for anyone else in my predicament, you can be an inch away from the answer but just missing it by one tiny little twist.
P.P.S. No I do not think that the first square was too far off. Not especially easy, but well within the Tanga "range of normal"
[33] "Do I get a prize for being the first person to have a post that was too salty before I even got the answer? I am sure that is some kind of an accomplishment."
That's really funny - that is where the term salt (as opposed to hint or clue) came from.

I honestly have no idea how i came up with that answer. i just figured it would be funny to try and it worked... first clue is kinda out there though...
geez... so i got the answer... and actually spelled out the first part... i'm stupid. that's all i have to say. it was easier than i thought.
it wasnt easy
drink a soda and think about it
The clues helped, or I would not have figured that oen out.. pretty hard
the dot is very wrong!!!!
[1] easy.
"solved this puzzle in 12 seconds "
But then, I like it.
Took me about twenty seconds to solve, but of course I "misspelled" the first part the first time. After reading the first few comments it was very easy.
this was really simple, just have to let your mind wander within the parameters of the first cle
Just as I don't think of 'carpenter' when I see a hammer, when I see a stethoscope I think of a stethoscope. And [39] is correct, you'll not find a single dot on any can or bottle.
This puzzle should have a diet version without the background or dot.
[43] if someone clued carpenter with a hammer, they would be making a horrible cryptopix.
16 seconds. Easy. Whiners.
"What's up" with that first pic?
Bad first clue. Very bad. Needs a little stick figure with it.
Mollz u go girl! Good puzzle! It definitely deserves to be featured. This flavor is my favorite (also "invented" in my home state - TEXAS)! And dot or not, she explains what the dot represents in the solution. Seems the oldtimers that are too used to solving fast & getting the primo points can't take a puzzle that's a little challenging, a little out of the "tanga" box! I may be new to tanga but I would think the point of a puzzle is to be challenging. Anyway that's my soapbox post for today, on to the "thank yous", first to mollz for the brain workout. Then to [37] You gave me the salt I needed, thank you, although I should have gotten it from [9]. And last but not least, to[30] thanx so much that valuable info, I wondered about those things, so now I know.
[44] EVERYone knows Hammers are associated with BUTCHERS! LOL!
[47] Or Clooney in that show
Thank you [19], that did the trick.
I would have put a certain something else, like a scarf or screwdriver instead of a stethoscope.
Thanks 19. I think it was a clever crypto. The red frame threw me for a loop though.
I thought the drink purposely DOESN'T have a dot....
Haha, I had no idea I was so controversial! Today is the very first time I've checked out my own puzzle. Sorry it was tricky, I sent it to my friends before I submitted it and they got it in seconds. I'm sure it's because they see me with one constantly. Obviously I'm not a regular submitter so don't get all upset! Next time I'll be sure and submit something incredibly literal.
I've been an RN for 11 years, and RARELY do I see an MD with a stethescope. IF they need to listen to a patient's lungs, heart, etc... they ask one of the RNs for their stethoscope. SO having trouble seeing stethoscope = MD. A figure with an Rx pad night have been more helpful....??
