Had it from the thumbnail, but puzzle wouldn't open. :(

i got this one while doing what i'm not supposed to....

clever. I liked.

Puzzling. Each word seems obvious yet I can't string them together into something that makes sense.

The last part didn't make any sense to me but I finally got it.

The last part is a bit of a stretch, if you ask me. But, hey, whatcha gonna do? Thanks for the puzzle, must67!

The "stretch" was what made it a fun/funny one for me. thanks must67.

would have been much easier if I knew my Stooges, I came up with Larry --- (not Queen), a famous interview/talk show host, in the middlle till I realized I was the Stooge!

Didn't notice until now, but that is the wrong chess piece. :p

I hate that bars have these signs now. Ah, the glory days of all my vices in one convenient locale.

[10] You could be right, although I have a chess set that has a similarly styled piece with the narrower crown like this one for this piece (which is also taller) and a wider crown for the other, slightly shorter piece.
