I've got the ?, but I can't figure what to do with it.

Man, if anyone is still around, please tg me another hint - got the top part easily, i *thought*, but then [13] makes me think i fell for a trap and i'm not seeing anything else to hang my hat on....
nm, got it - the clues make sense in hindsight, i guess... I just got it through what seemed like desperate guessing and surprised myself

Its almost heresy that the answer doesn't line up with the first four clues...
use google, then it all makes sense, just go in order
For any stuck latecomers, the key is realizing that you are not trying to complete the beginning of the alphabet, but a word.
Nice puzzle! I understand it, but I had to go thru all the letters till I found it. :)
here is the funny part. answered this with help from another tanganite. then son sees this one. he gave me the answer right away. he remembered the group of animated disney movies from the late 90's
did the red herring answer for the ? and then remembered a song from that movie about the protagonist.
