I have the album! 8th
Oooh Oooh ! Good one, Murdoctor.
wow... matching the dots and anagramming gave me "shelve tour".... red dots = red herring?
Nice, Murdoctor.glad I know my music....
[3], I feel your pain. I was wondering thinking I had a weird French expression when saying out the items before anagramming!
Answer should not state this was original version. It was the most successful. Original was before this.
[3],[5], or "trueloves"....still no joy however....????
nice - I love all these songs
[3] i got the same letters, but different words...with a letter left over....
[9] and did you have it right?
[3], you were double-crossed...
[3] not necessarily.
good one.....
to the veteran....yes.....keep re-arranging the letters...for words
Damn... 99th. I started out on the right path, and got distracted by cyphers. Whoops.
[15], Damn, worse than 99th and still no clue...oh well...
[16], I feel your pain. Still clueless....
no clue here either, despite knowing all of the songs/artists right off the bat, and doing the gratuitous anagagramming step.
closest I could get was "The Velours", but their one word song isn't the answer. sigh.
Ouch... 111th!
Anagramming will get you the answer, but it's definitely not necessary. The solution is much simpler to obtain than that.
[20] I see what you mean now.
Had a duplicate vowel that was crossed out twice, so I assumed we needed it twice. Therefore the anagramming didn't work so well.
Photoshop was my friend...
Huh? Anagraming? Folks, there's no anagraming here. Just connect the dots and read.
Hey, cool! Because the penultimate step here involves two words that share no letters, Doc was actually able to have his letter lists be all 26, represented once.
Neat.
Interesting.
I'm gonna create a one-hit wonder supergroup called The Tangas and write the song "Solve Thru".
That was a fun puzzle. My only problem was the internet suddenly not working for hours after I got the answer!!!! argh!!!
[26] and if i ever figure it out, my OHW will be "Overt Lush", although right now I feel like "Hurl Stove"....
edit "You solved this puzzle in 9 hours, 12 minutes and 46 seconds and were the 157th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 10 points for solving this"
Not my favorite Murdoctor Puzzle....
Really helps to actually print the picture and physically make the connections.
Very nice, Murdoctor.
If only I could draw a straight line. One of my favorites to this day & I didn't even know it for almost an hour.
That was a fun one! So much easier when I copied the picture into Photoshop to create the connections!
Not trying to offend anyone who couldn't get it but what is with the high difficulty rating? This was one of the more straightforward puzzles as pointed out by [23] and [24].
Eyeballing the crosses was a disaster for me, but Microsoft Paint saved me from having to print it.
Tip: Do NOT try to anagram the answer -- it doesn't work. Just print out the puzzle (or use Paint).
You solved this puzzle in 13 hours, 46 minutes and 40 seconds and were the 202nd Tanga member to solve it.
*I finally used Paint instead of a piece of paper and my computer screen; thanks to all who recommended it!

[23] Ah, just the hint I needed. Thanks!
Google is my friend.
[24] Very cool observation. Thanks for pointing that out.
[32] If you print out the puzzle and add the lines it's easy. However, if you just extract the letters from the screen to paper you get one extra vowel, and may not line them up as pictured, which is probably what happened to the majority having problems with it.
My printer is down, so it took a lot longer than it should have.
I actually own the OTHER two versions. Which made the solution for me a third try after a Google.
After also coming up with The Velours and their one hit wonder It's Not Unusual and getting nowhere with it, I'm now going to print the thing like the Salt says since all that was obviously a big red herring.
Okay. Printing did it and I guess the answer is because the other versions were not one hit wonders for the artists.
[23] That gave me enough to go on and solve it. Thanks.
Fun puzzle, but Nazareth is not a one-hit wonder. "Hair of the Dog" was a hit, even being covered by Guns 'n' Roses.
[45] Way too salty
[32] I guess we're not all as smart as you, and [24], thanks for the clue, and [23], I guess we don't all speak the same language as you....and [34] anagramming is the only way i finally got it, and [45]...agree absolutely
