Ugh...no clue whatsoever!!!! no simple tanga on letters...
Yeah, I'm stumped. I can't even get started.
go with the center.
i went on a completely different direction first also.
[1][2] I'm joining the party
[1] [2] Notice the length of the 4 rows and 4 columns. Fun one Murdoctor.
It's my party and I'll cry if I want to....(not salt, still no clue, even with the center start)
I have all but the name of the last pic....and I know what to do, just not there yet
I have the idea, I think, but I cannot find a way to weave them.
[7] it's not a REAL cockpit but a..............
I hate nights like this where I just feel so stooooopid....the salt isn't helping....
Got it. I had the last one wrong. Everything fit nicely after I fixed that one.
ty [9] that helped
any salt on how to get the words to all fit in the grid
try dotting your i's first [13]
[3,5] Thanks
Nice! I was lost until my 13 year old pointed me in the right direction. (Not salt - just sadly the truth).
A puzzle by Murdoctor that DOESNT do this to me! LOL!
Just baffling. I too have all the words and no idea what the second step is. I assumed it would be like a crossword (probably as many others did) but they clearly will not fit that way since the right permutations do not exist.
Stumped. Sigh.
[18] still with you. [14] appreciate the salt but it isn't making sense to me yet.
Post and solve strikes again!
[12], [14], thanks.....toughie....
Anyone know the picture to the middle left?
[21] - it is an extremely popular game in recent years - but mostly for people who like that match 3 kind of games. You can pretty easily figure out at least one of the many places it is available for download. The picture also shows one of the more common elements of the game that is part of its title.
I can't say too much more without making the answer completely obvious
Oops, sorry, I gave you salt for middle right. But I guess you found the answer.
[22] meow that doesn't make sense to me, all i did was search for 'types of boats' and went from there.
[22] is it me or are you giving a description to the middle right?
middle left is a multihulled boat. google that an you should be able to pick the correct one.
[13] Notice the crossword pattern in the middle square. Try capitalizing the letters that would correspond to intersections on that pattern to get a clearer picture of how the words intersect.
Edit - looks like you got it while I was formulating my comment!
[22] I think that's middle right
[23] Thanks. I ended up just guessing and wiki-ing the name from the solution afterwards. Never heard of it before. :)
[22] That's middle right, I think. Middle left is a multihulled boat.
[14] I've only got one "i" among all eight words. I take it I must have some incorrect words?
[28] I think that mean to check the spelling.
[28] You might have made the same mistake I did at first. The bottom left could have been a picture of a piece of candy from a roll.
[30] That's what I've got it as. Incorrect?
[31] then you must have the bottom right wrong. second letter is an "i".
Finally got it. [29] you threw me one of those and saved my life.
If anyone is stuck for the same reasons I was then I can tell you that it is possible to get an incorrect word for the second picture on the top as well as the bottom right that has the correct number of letters and kind of fits the picture - but it is the wrong word and needs to be fixed.
Awesome puzzle - once you get the right words.
will happily help anyone who needs it. tg me. don't want to give too heavy salt here.
[32] I've got bottom right as you say. Just so we don't confuse others, bottom left is NOT the rolled candy, correct?
[35] bottom left is what will save you from drowning AND a rolled candy.
bottom right is a pretend way of flying.
[35] No, it IS the rolled candy.
Nice puzzle - too bad I didn't show up 90 minutes ago! Still 88th though.
And love the colors!
[36], [37] Thanks, got it. Had a temporary dyslexic momment there, lol.

An hour and forty-five minutes in and still 97th. Wow!
101st (me) was 2 hours and 10 minutes into the game. Too bad I got here late.
Nice puzzle, Doc!
When I see Murdoctor along with 42 comments, I know I'm gonna need some time.... will come back later! :)

That was definitely a fun one... I thought the step of arranging was gonna be terrible but really only one option there! Great puzzle!
All of the answers follow a certain pattern of C-V-C-V-C...
I think an anagram of the solution would have been better. Otherwise I liked the puzzle.
[45] LOL. I'm not sure we've ever had anyone request adding anagramming to a puzzle before :)
Basically a hypercross, not fun.
[22] well I needed that salt. Was trying to just use VIDEOGAME and not working at all. Still have some wrong because not fitting. And [45] C-V ?? do you mean H-V-H-V etc ? And thanks [27]. At least I have one more picture right. Ooh and thank you candy people. I was using one long word that might follow Life. Sigh. a few more hints and maybe I'll get there. Oh DUH [49] and me a supposed Scrabble player.
[48] The C stands for "consonant" and the V stands for "vowel".
I have only one word with a U in it. Never mind. I have two. And thank you [51]. I had the object, not the man. At LAST, I can go out and work in the yard. It's spring in Houston and weeds are thriving. Plus my brain is exhausted. Fantastic puzzle.
[50] The lower right picture contains a "u".
For the upper right, the answer refers to the guy.
mDoc comes through again! I didn't really want to work this hard today, but it was definitely worth it in the end.
[51] Yeah - I finally just filled in what fit without worrying about the any that didn't and was able to get the upper right once I had the crossover letters. Unfortunately, I described the device as "camcorder", which is also 9 letters.
Hooray for all of you who are helping to keep me from "old timers"/"sometimers"!
Are you all Mensa Members?
[3] was the salt I needed to get started. then it was just hard work.
