    I supremely loved this, Jeb!

[1] same here.....too many slang names for the first picture....no clue yet

  6. AEggplantlnrr on Jul 02, 2010 07:09 PM

When you travel by train you can enjoy the miles. I'm getting kind of blue thinking about it.

  7. FileEggj15bell on Jul 02, 2010 07:11 PM

[6] was thinking in the same direction as you. thought if the train was blue it may have given an addition subtle clue.

  8. AEggplantlnrr on Jul 02, 2010 07:15 PM

[7] The locomotion on that one's pretty good, too. I'd go either way on a moment's notice.

  9. 07310099PancakesLakeLivin on Jul 02, 2010 07:16 PM

Nice one! Nothing and then 'boom' there it was (no salt here).

  10. FileAceMalllkaV on Jul 02, 2010 07:19 PM

    this one has me. nuts

  11. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Jul 02, 2010 07:21 PM

[10] Me too - you aren't alone! Kind of a nice change of pace to be stumped on the crypto though...

[1] et al. Yup, once "potty-hoppers" gets stuck in your mind, it's tough to erase it.

  13. FilePancakesjmcintyre on Jul 02, 2010 07:26 PM

[6], [7], [8] I was going to be a lazy bird, but I'll say it over and over again: Tanga puzzles are my favorite things. I guess I'm old fashioned.

  14. FileEgggwk1967 on Jul 02, 2010 07:39 PM

3rd on the hypercross, 96th on the OWW. STILL stuck on the cryptopix, even with all the salt. :(

Got it, thanks to a TG from soccer_ref.

  15. FileEggj15bell on Jul 02, 2010 07:41 PM

[14] so. the first pic has you on the spot! eh?

  16. 6-9-06Xylophonehouck on Jul 02, 2010 07:41 PM

[14] Woodstock's picture (j15bell's icon) could have been a background picture clue for this puzzle

  17. FileAceMalllkaV on Jul 02, 2010 07:46 PM

Cant wait for wife to get home. She will solve it!

  18. UntitledPepperarecords on Jul 02, 2010 07:47 PM

    Wow. Still lost.

Maybe it's time for a break.

  19. AEggplantlnrr on Jul 02, 2010 07:48 PM

Not sure if this fits the tenor of this discussion, but the combination of photos reminded me of this:

    http://whymsical.com/index.php?action=mgallery;sa=media;id=315

I can only find a model photo right now, but I've seen a similar real-life photo.

  20. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 02, 2010 07:49 PM

[17][18] You need the exact type of locomotive that's shown.

  21. AEggplantlnrr on Jul 02, 2010 07:54 PM

If picture two was on last night's cryptopix it would be anthracite.

  22. FileAceMalllkaV on Jul 02, 2010 07:57 PM

    I don't see a locomotive. What locomotive?

  23. AEggplantlnrr on Jul 02, 2010 07:58 PM

Don't be blue - note how many have solved it. You won't get the prestige of solving it if you quit on an impulse!

  24. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 02, 2010 07:59 PM

[22] *sigh* In pic 2, you need to be specific about what it is. (I was trying to be careful about which words I used in my salt.)

  25. AEggplantlnrr on Jul 02, 2010 07:59 PM

[22] I think he meant specific type of train.

  26. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 02, 2010 07:59 PM

    [25] "He" is a "she". :D

  27. Avatar_profileGrapesstreetracin101 on Jul 02, 2010 08:01 PM

I had the train portion of the clue right off the bat... but the pottie pic was a tough one to get the basic name. I think the fact that its a portable bathroom was what threw me off the most.

  28. AEggplantlnrr on Jul 02, 2010 08:04 PM

[26] D'oh!, as the father of someone (also not a he) who could easily solve this would say.

  29. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 02, 2010 08:09 PM

[28] No worries, a lot of people make that assumption.

  30. FileEggj15bell on Jul 02, 2010 08:13 PM

[27] from your post it seems you got it finally. for those still scratching their HEAD. it's not the - can, throne, loo, outhouse, potty, latrine or lavatory. perhaps a pic of Charlie Sheen would work too. ;)

  31. T192Potatoantiawb on Jul 02, 2010 08:14 PM

    It isn't Cole Porter.

  32. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 02, 2010 08:16 PM

[31] Well, THAT would ignore the first pic.

  33. FileAceMalllkaV on Jul 02, 2010 08:18 PM

I had it quickly, but google gave me different spelling. Wife did figure it out.

  34. FileAceMalllkaV on Jul 02, 2010 08:18 PM

Now I am singing a different tune.

  35. Avatar_profilePeachgarywebb on Jul 02, 2010 09:26 PM

The first pic isn't the TARDIS?

  36. Gracie_mae_11-20-09-a_edited-aPlumadvnewaya on Jul 02, 2010 11:12 PM

You solved this puzzle in 7 seconds and were the 243rd Tanga member to solve it. You earned 10 points for solving this.

Now, THIS, is the kind of puzzle that one can get "really jazzed" about!?

Simple, and fun, thanks for a great puzzle!

  37. Scissor-tailed_birdPearmattlscc on Jul 02, 2010 11:26 PM

[33] same problem with me... also first had the longer nickname for the first name at first...

Oddly enough, [24] gave it to me -- and only by solving the second picture. It was at that point I realized what the first picture was.

  39. Picture-303Pumpkingodard on Jul 03, 2010 06:19 AM

    What a saxy puzzle

  40. ShadowlordGrapesSHADOWLORD on Jul 03, 2010 06:28 AM

For a pure rational like me the answer is still in the ballpark but kinda in left field. [20][24] was right in the end but originally sent me too deep. [30] was the nail in the coffin. I think all the tanganites google searching pushed the answer up in the ranks. (Very little if any salt here)

  41. Avatar_profileWatermelonmstoecker on Jul 03, 2010 10:03 AM

You solved this puzzle in 14 seconds

  44. 2192183355_bd8319f8d3_oPlumlynier on Jul 03, 2010 07:22 PM

Ha! I got stuck on toliet training and couldn't get outta it!

  45. Avatar_profilePeachWolfshead on Jul 04, 2010 01:01 AM

If I had EVER heard of the guy, i might have been able to solve it. As I have little interest in that field of music, this puzzle was too obscure for me.

  46. FilePumpkinJohn on Jul 15, 2010 12:55 PM

Would be nice to clue somehow that we're after a person...
