    Nice!

  2. Przewalskis-horseDuckiecrashbaptiste on Jul 19, 2010 07:02 PM

    Erm, salt?

  3. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 19, 2010 07:03 PM

Slight pronunciation problem with the end of the first word, but a nice puzzle.

I hope he isn't looking for a transliteration...

P&S He isn't. Not my favorite...I thought there was a second step...

  5. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 19, 2010 07:04 PM

[2] The first pic is NOT the Taj Mahal (as I wanted to say at first), but it IS a place of worship.

You solved this puzzle in 2 minutes and 48 seconds and were the 53rd Tanga member to solve it. You earned 58 points for solving this. Not bad for a plum!

If you're stumped, try replacing the two O's with two heifers... might make it click.

  7. Avatar_profilePeachsrsvdub on Jul 19, 2010 07:06 PM

    Stumping me!!!!

  8. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Jul 19, 2010 07:06 PM

[3] May depend on where you are from. I've heard it pronounced like this and I've heard it pronounced differently.

  9. 8grg3zbpu691mpv38q2nRaspberryjebediehard on Jul 19, 2010 07:08 PM

[3][8] I believe both pronunciations can be used... but not for the one in Western Idaho.

  10. RobinhoodBananaPinkBeatles on Jul 19, 2010 07:09 PM

I just cannot seem to figure out what that building is.. :(

  11. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Jul 19, 2010 07:11 PM

[10] Think in general terms. It's not a particular named bldg; that type of bldg is a ____

[12] The first pic isn't cluing the 1st word - it's only cluing part of it.

  12. Freud_daliRadishDocJ on Jul 19, 2010 07:10 PM

agree with [3] + I just don't feel like its really an automatically known way to reference the place...

  13. Spring_2010-7__tmn_Bananacolleen77777 on Jul 19, 2010 07:11 PM

thanks [5] that did it good one

I believe that the pronunciation in the puzzle is considered to be the correct one. I don't want to over salt but to remember the correct way to say it, there's a phrase: "There's no --- in ------".

This probably is too vague to add to the discussion. Sorry.

  16. 6-9-06Xylophonehouck on Jul 19, 2010 07:14 PM

Cryptos like this that make you think a little are so much nicer than just plain rebuses. Thanks, Jeb.

  17. Phi3CornPhilana on Jul 19, 2010 07:19 PM

    Very nice puzzle!

  18. FilePumpkinRickj4029 on Jul 19, 2010 07:25 PM

It is unfortunate that there is no apparent way to know what that building is.

  19. Avatar_profilePlummrmombo on Jul 19, 2010 07:25 PM

Simple, once I got it. Singular or not, and shape counts.

  20. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Jul 19, 2010 07:26 PM

[18] Sure there is....the style implies that it is an Islamic worship space.

  21. Avatar_profileKiwimoodasz on Jul 19, 2010 07:30 PM

I think I know but does it include 3 words?

    NM - possessive

  22. FileSailboatrashawnsgrandma on Jul 19, 2010 09:18 PM

[5] I just glanced at first & made the same mistake LOL :)
Hey friend [15] if your "saying" is saying what I think it is saying - where do they get their calcium?
Thanx jebediehard for another almost stumper - I said the very last thing right out loud (and I know where it is!) but was still thinking Taj Mahal for 1st pix - then aah AHA ok, ok quit emoting & type! :)

P.S. calcium - I forgot about goats (not salt)

  23. Thumbs_up_guyBananasamisgr8 on Jul 19, 2010 10:04 PM

Another greatly clued puzzle Jeb! Thanks!

  24. Tanga_profile_photoEggWhiteKnight85 on Jul 19, 2010 10:55 PM

[22] Yes, I'm saying what you think I'm saying. It doesn't make sense, admittedly -- it's just a way to remember the correct way to pronounce it.

But you're right; goats work, so it works out OK.

  25. Avatar_profilePotatocrowwulf on Jul 20, 2010 04:22 AM

    [6] did it for me.

  26. Dsc_0789Grapesdeputydog73 on Jul 20, 2010 05:22 AM

great salt, mrmombo. that made the light bulb appear for me.

  27. FilePlumcarlos8300 on Jul 20, 2010 05:53 AM

Used google goggles on my droid to find out what the building is.

  28. Dsc01278Applejaneabr on Jul 20, 2010 05:59 AM

Just google the last picture and you should see more than enough.

  29. Avatar_profilePearg4 on Jul 20, 2010 06:13 AM

I was triped up on the last part of the first word. But if you haven't figured it out, then think positive it’s possessive

  30. Avatar_profileBananabhodges on Jul 20, 2010 06:58 AM

Also... while shape is important, location isn't this time around.

  31. Avatar_profileKiwiPiratefishy on Jul 20, 2010 07:45 AM

[20] i only got it with the religious mention.

hmm good puzzle but took me long enough.

  32. Hpim0182Rocketdragontearsoflove on Jul 20, 2010 08:32 AM

    [22]--Goats, and that's not salt;-)

  33. Eg181208Potatotvfamily on Jul 20, 2010 09:03 AM

Thanks [6]. Got the first picture right away. Had the words but not the pronounciation at first!

  34. Dumb02Garlicsammydb on Jul 20, 2010 09:43 AM
