I have it but it wont take it....
not taking
How could that not be right??
[1], [2], you might not have it exactly.
Hmm... I though I had it, but not taking in a few variations.
[1] [2] [3] [5] You may want to check that date again.
Not working?
quoted from the movie and will not take...
Boo.
I thought it was a movie quote but it's not. Much, much more obscure.
One word isn't from the movie.
[6] Aah. And also with you.
It's NOT the movie quote...
That was cruel!
this is bad.
Boooooo! Hisssssss!!!
My brother went to a _ event with his family at a frozen custard shop tonight, so this was easy for me.
Very weird....I typed the correct answer in 4 times and it would not take. I left and checked out the OWW and came back and tried submitting it again ( by copy and paste, not retyping) and it took. Very glitchy
Yea - I learned something new today! Nice one.
I was there when it all began, but never knew of this day...
Once again, Google is my friend. It is always fun to learn interesting facts such as this.....
I am pretty certain I have the answer because I know what day this is but I can't understand why the answer is not taking. Maybe my midichlorian count is not high enough.
I think the puzzle would have been better by taking the more 'obvious' choice
[23] but then what would everyone whine about?
Cruel and Cute, enjoyed it russm313, thanks.
DEElightful! What a splendid twist! [12] gives everyone all the salt you'll need. [14] yes, wickedly cruel. [15] & [16] & [23] tsk! tsk! such poor sports because it was harder & more fun than usual! Isn't that what tanga is about expanding our horizons or doin' the same ole, same ole everyday? I found it almost immediately on google, so why whine because it was different. Thanx russm313, that was refreshing. :)
If you're gonna do it that way -- why not be "full on" literal, making word #4 3 letters, word #5 5 letters, and word #6 identifying Dolly. We're replacing everything else with homophones, why not word #3.
umm ... I don't really consider that a twist, I consider it a cheat. Not the best I've seen.
I had my husband standing behind me and he said the answer. I then converted what he said to the answer that everyone else tried and it didn't take. Then he said, "why didn't you type ____?" and I said because that doesn't make sense but changed it anyway and it was right and *we* got 3rd. Glad he was here!
It was a very nice puzzle & well clued. Don't let the complaining get to you russm313!
[28] How exactly is it a cheat to have the words clue exactly what they are instead of forcing you to mangle it into something else?
funny....I too typed the obvious then just typed what it looked like...and got it...I like the puzzle...and the tid bit of information from it...thank you....
meh....
more salt please
got it
Talk about being literal. Most of the time you have to bend over backwards to get the cryptopix to spell out what the answer is..
I got it but I don't get it....
[27]salt appreciated, and I agree
[10] not obscure. one of my favorite days.
You solved this puzzle in 53 seconds..........because you remember odd stuff like this for some reason".
I must be an idiot because the obvious answer doesn't work.
I dislike this one.. very, very much.
Is it the fake holiday that happens on this date, or is it a phrase about that holiday? in any case, i have the sneaking suspicion that this is a suck.
I don't speak with a lisp.
Other than the 305 before me who got this, Speak with a lisp.
just plain silly...
Apparently this wasn't the puzzle I was looking for.
BOOOOO. Not the actual quote. Geeks might have said it yesterday. And, Yes, I am a geek.
This is the Jar Jar Binks of Star Wars puzzles.
Wish I would have looked at this last night when it was posted. Very easy puzzle.
You are a freaking genius!! You solved this puzzle.
You solved this puzzle in 2 minutes and 46 seconds and were the 449th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 10 points for solving this.
It was a very good puzzle. Just because it dosen't fit into your normal perceptions of how things should be, shame on you. I solved it and im an idiot! :P
I'm glad there was some challenge. Since I was sure I had it right away, but it not taking made me look again and find the correct answer by changing something quite obvious.
Even knowing what the holiday was, this took me forever because the designer made up his own phrase, and was not consistant using the homophones in the clues.
Epic Fail
Loved it! Just heard the phrase last night on the Late Late Show. Thanks Craig!
Finally got it. This puzzle is just a really dumb pun. Only big SW fans are going to get it without scratching their heads.
Ok heavy salt on an obvious part here but it's the next day and there's over 400 solves already...
All the complaining is really amusing since if you type "May the" into the google search window, google autocompletes FIRST with the EXACT answer to this puzzle and THEN further down with the answer so many people are whining about wanting instead.
So no, [49] he didn't make it up. According to wikipedia, the pun has been around since before 2005. So grow up, everyone!

Thanks for the puzzle it stumped me for about 10 minutes last night. The salt directed me to the correct phrase however.
You solved this puzzle in 10 minutes and 58 seconds and were the 259th Tanga member to solve it.
[52] I agree.
Well said!
Kinda cool, i learned something new today of the whole SW universe......yea baybee!

181 days later.......BOOOOO!!!!!
