Very nice puzzle, soccer-ref. I really enjoyed working this one out. Thank you!
any salt? I'm lost D:
[2] Me too... OWW are not my forte...
[2] [3] You might want to look closer at some parts of the picture. There are plenty of numbers there to help you....
I am kind of lost too, don't know where to start. I assume the poem has something to do with it but I have not yet been able to figure out what.
[4] bmgukck isn't spelling much though...
[6] nor nedofff, nor adsiles... :-(
I'm also lost...
I can't believe that today is the last day of the 5th month already...and tomorrow is the first day of the 6th month?
[6] [7] Perhaps you aren't using the numbers correctly? Or not using ALL the numbers?
Thanks, Soccer-ref! That was tricky:)
Good Puzzle!
[8] - thanks, that was helpful.
ok it's not Dojyohq either
Great puzzle!
I'm really beginning to think like a tanga-ite these days. For a change I knew immediately what to do.
Anyway, Happy 5/31 to you all!
Got the first part fairly quickly, took awhile for the second part. Thought I had tried the answer early on, I guess not. (move along, there's no salt here)
Thanks for the salt [8]
Thank you for your tribute to our fallen heroes, they are not forgotten. My son-in-law, Capt. Darrell C. Lewis, was honored today in a Knights of Columbus Memorial Day Mass. My grandson, R.J., wore his Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals. He looked awesome, a tall 3 & 2/3 y/o wearing Daddy's medals. My daughter thought she wouldn't cry but when the Knights made their presentation to her she did. And she was crying so hard, bless her heart, she didn't even know she got a standing ovation on Darrell's behalf. It is so very touching to celebrate his life with people who understand our freedom isn't free. :)
[17] thank you for sharing! bless you!
[17] That's beautiful.
Today I sang at several Memorial Day services. This is one of the songs I sang, if you have never heard it, it's well worth it:

Hmm....seems that people are getting step one and forgetting there's a step two (answer the question that was asked).
i got the first part, now what do i do with it? i don't know anything about memorial day (i'm australian, and we have anzac day and remembrance day) and google isn't doing anything for me D:
edit: post and solve!
Was still pretty difficult considering google was being annoying and i don't know anything about memorial day ceremonies -.-
[21] Try googling the Gettysburg Address (Abraham Lincoln).
We went to a service at a cemetery which had been abandoned and cared for by a community member for decades, and is now on the historic registry and cared fro by the historic society. It needs a LOT of work, but it will be a fun project, finding who and where. It's Pioneer Cemetery, aka Morningside Cemetery, in Sylmar CA.
[23] Cool. I have seen some Boy Scouts do restoration projects on abandoned cemeteries for their Eagle project. And there's also the Cemetery Project which seeks to document every grave so the info is available to geneology researchers online.
I guess is doesn't matter that the poem has one word incorrect?
[25] It has no words incorrect (this isn't the first stanza) - and no, that doesn't matter.
thanks soccer-ref! for both puzzles!! i finally got this one... too many interruptions. oh well. i hope your services were good today.
[26] thanks, for the solving info; wiki notes the version in this image changes bl- to gr- in the first line.
