The background made sense to me after the fact. I just put the whole thing together and when I said it out loud... it clicked.

[28] Well, I don't really... but Tanga will show us Moderators any duplicated, previous ANSWERS to Cryptos and OWWs. So I just found another old Crypto that no one was solving at the time, edited/changed its answer to DOMINATRIX, and then Tanga told me there was another puzzle with that answer and gave me the URL for it.

Took, like, 20 seconds... and then, of course, I remembered to change the correct answer back on that other Crypto.
I got this almost immediately, but the third clue made me think there was more to it.
