I don't know about "oft-quoted" but google autocomplete helped me pull out 7th! :) Thanks for another well-done puzzle, Philana!
Wow. Google is freakin' amazing.
10th. You have to take some liberties with pronunciation on the upper right hand corner pic.
man you guys are quick!
...solved this puzzle in 2 minutes and 13 seconds and were the 67th Tanga member to solve it...(with a little help from google)...Started right at 7pm and it took a few seconds to load...
47 seconds and 128th because I did OWW first.
[1]whenever someone puts "oft-quoted" it means that it probably isnt something that is actually often quoted in everyday life.
wow...not oft-quoted enough for me to know it! 152nd :(
[3] It's Halloween themed; I'll forgive the necessary mispronunciation.
Thanks to Google for autcompleting for me.
You solved this puzzle in 47 seconds and were the 164th Tanga member to solve it.

64th here, 58th on OWW, and fairly new to Tanga (< a week).
You solved this puzzle in 2 minutes and 6 seconds and were the 108th Tanga member to solve it.
I should have taken the auto-complete route. I instead wasted time looking up the book to get the author's last name.
the 71st Tanga member to solve it. You earned 40 points for solving this.
Haven't heard of it before.
Never heard of it. Google rocks.
Another "never heard of it before" here. <== Oh, apparently THAT is oft-quoted, though!
;-P
i fancy myself well read and have NEVER heard of this. Thanks Google.
Philana must run with a very erudite crowd if this is oft-quoted
Where would this line be oft-quoted anyway? A nudist colony?
Thanx everyone for the Google hint
[19] ditto
WOW I had the source last night & ignored it. Today I think why not? So I read it & there it is - THE 2ND LINE, no less! Now I'm 539th :(
[18] aha butt ****** LOL!
i have no clue
I would like to +1 that is is not oft quoted.

Got it but never heard of it.
Nice puzzle, Me'Lady! Remembrance of childhood summers past....

I think most of us have heard of this guy's contemporaries: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Oliver Wendell Holmes, James Russell Lowell, and William Cullen Bryant but never him.
Great puzzle....I have heard it many times.
